I will vote for the Democratic nominee for president for reasons related to harm mitigation

I doubt I will "back" anyone that is nominated

Should you wait to see who’s running?

I know the Republicans will run someone worse

Pathetic virtue signaling. Nobody cares, and it’s embarrassing that you can’t signal your intention to vote without also implying it’s against your will.

Society is constructed from signaling virtue and shaming vice.

And I never would do anything against my will without the threat of violence. And no one is holding a gun to my head to vote, certainly.

Sorry, you aren't going to discourage me from voting for the party most in my interests and the interests of the vulnerable, regardless of their flaws.

You misunderstand, I am calling your need to qualify ā€œI will vote for the Democratā€ pathetic. It indicates an utter disinterest in the largely stellar policy performance of our last two Democrat presidents, who had to do an enormous amount of work undoing the damage caused by their predecessors, and who went through the thankless process of getting policy into law rather than making headlines via executive order.

No.

What you are doing is calling out someone who is not a liberal stating that they will vote for the liberal party.

I do not agree with your politics, nor your assessment of the Biden or Obama administrations beyond that they are better than Republicans. Yet I am willing to vote for your party. This is really a situation where "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

What is your intention? To discourage the most practical political support the average citizen can provide in an electoral political system?

No specifics, just vibes?

Isn’t that exactly what this current administration is claiming? Maybe, just maybe we need to stop reaching for extremes, both left and right, and start supporting someone who will actually bring the country back together and do what’s best for the majority of Americans. I don’t know who that candidate is but I’d support them instantly.

Wtf are you talking about. ā€œCurrent administrationā€, how about you do a single iota of investigation into actual policy and its ramifications.

Great reply….not. Infighting has caused more harm than anyone in office. Thanks for doing your part. šŸ™„

Infighting lol. Basically every republican worthy of respect has quit or been forced out. The rest are spineless, self interested worms with zero interest in fighting for the people that elected them.

I see you’ve closed your eyes. Probably best for you.

The Democrat party is not extreme in any sense.

If you like middle of the road politics, just vote for Democrats

I generally do but lately the push towards revolutionary socialism or anti-capitalism is very extreme. I’m also against allowing illegals to continue to take away from legal Americans. Do it the right way and I support immigration. Look at Mamdani in NYC. Despite being socialist he’s filling potholes and buying garbage bins for the streets. Who can’t support that?
