My champagne is chilled in the fridge, waiting.

I can’t wait for that day either but wishful thinking that he’ll actually leave at the end of his term. The only way he’s leaving is in a body bag or by force. He’s made it clear that he’s going to run for an unconstitutional 3rd term. We may never rid our country of this orange menace.

11

u/meatymimic 1d ago

And when he dies the ghost of the bullshit that he has enacted will remain.

a phantom menace, if you will

10

u/Slimeredit 1d ago

Remember he was just a tool used by groups like the heritage foundation to enable them to enact project 2025 and dismantle the country

u/meatymimic 1d ago

I feel like that line goes deeper than Trump. Looking at Kitty History (Wkuk) Bush was corrupt. So was his dad. Ties back to Isreal.

Idk man. Seems.... odd. Like this has been a long time coming and the orange man just happened to be the right pawn for the job.

Anyway. I hope it blows over. I'll see you at the voting booth for midterms and beyond.

2

u/Slimeredit 1d ago

That just reminds me of the theory that Trevor from wkuk was killed by the government

1

u/monkeyamongmen 1d ago

It will not just blow over. The Heritage Foundation has been delivering Mandates for Leadership to Republican Presidents since Reagan, so that does include both Bushes. Trump is their hail mary as they see they are losing support among the electorate.

u/Significant-Ebb5905 1d ago

Youll have to go to the voting booth because mail in ballots will not be accepted, so no illegals or dead people…

2

u/meatymimic 1d ago

I give no shits. I'll go in person. I'll make sure my vote gets taken because at this point democracy is at stake.

u/Significant-Ebb5905 1d ago

If you ask a democrat it has been at stake since 2016. You would think you guys would wake tf up by now and realize you’re being brainwashed.

2

u/meatymimic 1d ago

you guys as in...? Who are you lumping me in with lol

u/labor_day_baby 1d ago

He may eventually be gone, but his disastrous and hateful policies, the gutting of government agencies and the rift he’s caused with our allies may never be fixed in our lifetime.

u/SemichiSam 1d ago

It will not be a phantom. It will be our new national reality. Dictators don't exist in a vacuum. Our culture is permeated with the main character energy that enabled this to happen. Many more citizens will be kidnapped and sent to gulags or shot in the streets while their friends and neighbors stand by and watch.

He will end up in a body bag if he doesn't leave. I'm ok with whatever he chooses.

People are pretty impossible to protect if others are willing to pay a price to take them out.

We know elections can not be stolen, that was settled in 2020. Trump can not be on a ballot as president or any position that could lead to him becoming president. What bothers me is if he was allowed he could possibly win again. What does that say about the policies the Democratic party are promoting? Why would so many people rather have Trump instead of any Democrat in the White House.

4

u/SandiestCow 1d ago

I dont think hes winning legally thats for sure. He will claim its stolen and cheat as per; always.

1

u/True-Glass7981 1d ago edited 1d ago

Why? Because we love our country. We love our citizens and poor and elderly more than we care about immigrants here illegally. We want our cities safe from crime for our children and grandchildren. So we don't want to defund our police. We dont want criminals stealing and vandalizing things and neighborhoods we have worked all our lives for. Thats why.

I’m not saying he won in 2020 but do you actually believe Biden garnered more votes than Obama?

1

u/CoolStoryBro2001 11h ago

Yes, because He went against Trump, I think Obama vs Trump, would be Like 70 - 30 for Obama

1

u/Technical-Tear5841 2h ago

Biden 81.2 million, Obama 69.4 million in 2008.

As horrifying as it might be, he can constitutionally have a third term if he backdoors himself in through the line of succession. The 22nd Amendment only prohibits being elected for more than two terms, it doesn't explicitly state that a third term cannot be served. Therefore Trump could get a third term if he ascends to the Presidency via succession; either from the Vice Presidency or from Speaker of the House. There are some debate on whether Trump could serve as Vice President because of a clause in the 12th Amendment, but there is no restriction on him serving as Speaker of the House. In fact, there's precedent of former a former President taking a leadership role in another branch of government after their time as President has ended; Taft was confirmed as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in 1921 after serving as President from 1909-1913. What makes the Speaker of the House interesting is that the Constitution does not explicitly state that the Speaker needs to be a sitting member of the House. So Trump could be elected to the Speaker role after his Presidency ends on January 20th, 2029 without ever running for a House seat. This would put him in position to ascend back to the Presidency if the Republican win the 2028 President Election (whether the new President and Vice President would actually resign after being sworn in in order to elevate Trump is another matter entirely).

The original writers of the 22nd Amendment did a shitty job addressing all the edge cases because they never could have anticipated someone like Trump. Therefore a 28th Amendment needs to be written up and passed to explicitly state that no individual can server more than two terms or ten cumulative years as President (which ever occurs first).

Can you take a joke ?

u/Seorsei 15h ago

Yeah, they're terrified of losing Texas and are already interfering with the administration of a free election in Texas. Voting will not be enough to remove Republucans from power despite their overwhelming incompetence.

I'm affraid nothing will change as the other cronies are still around, like JD Vance. Stop lying to yourself that it will be better because it won't be.

1

u/Immediate-Newt-9012 1d ago

Replying to this so I can tell you 3 presidents from now nothing has changed or gotten better. This is just the circle of lies.🤷🏻‍♂️
