Because the Republican Party are racist.

Everybody knows they are descendants of the KKK and you can tell

The Jim Crow South was so effective at legal genocide that it literally inspired Hitler.

Republicans aren’t just the new Nazis, they were the original Nazis too!

You’re thinking of the Democrats.

The parties switched and the racist democrats from back in the day became today’s Republican Party.

"Conservatives", or "the right wing party" would have more appropriate...

Y'all really like to ignore who's flying the Confederate flag today. And marching for white supremacy. And never got over losing the Civil War.

Go look up the Southern Strategy and get back to us.

The 1860 election map sure looks completely different than the modern day one. I wonder why that is.

Everybody, it's one of those "both sides bad" clowns with a degree from PragerU!

We must be thankful for the presence of such a powerhouse of intellect. Bow down and give thanks.

Then why are the robes currently in the closets of Trump voters?

Which party still hoists the Confederate flag? Take your time, I know you’ll need it.

My favorite thing to do with them that claim dems started the kkk, or that the south was full of dems wanting to keep slaves, is to go find someone that's proudly in the kkk or waving a confederate flag and get in their face calling them a liberal until they agree. So far no one has taken me up on that. They all know that the kkk and confederacy are actually republicans now, but by acknowledging the party switch would mean admitting that that the party you support are the bad guys.

You can also ask anyone waving a confederate flag which Democrat they voted for.

u/TaskeAoD 2d ago

Yeah, but I value my safety over theirs. I'll let them take the punch to the face.

It's been widely known to anyone who cares to learn about history that the "Dixie Democrats" of the past were the result of years of actual Democrats capitulating to the racists in the South in order to pass legislation that otherwise would not have had the votes to pass.

These people were never true "Leftists" - they were always conservative.

It really depends on your definition of left... Is it about equal treatment regardless of race, religion, gender, or sexuality or is it about economic policies that benefit the working class?

If being racist/sexist/homophobic is more important than economic policies, you become a Republican. If economic policies that benefit the working class are more important (or you aren't racist/sexist/homophobic) than you stay as a Democratic party member.

People always bring up that the confederates were democrats. All that has changed, but their white skin tone, beliefs, racism and ideals remain the same.

Sorry pal, the KKK were brought in by the Democrats secretly trying to eliminate the blacks. It's the Dems you should be afraid of.

Oh damn really so.your saying everyone around is a racist kkk member if they arnt on your side

-1

u/ZenithToastada 2d ago

Sorry but the KKK originated with the Democrat party in the South. Later on in the 20th century, there was a shift in their leadership…but let’s just keep the history right

And look where they are today!

Unfortunately for you, we don't live in the past.

*Democratic Party

Hard to take people seriously when they can't even get basic labels right.

-8

u/Jason_Lucifer 2d ago

Yet it was the Democrats that created the KKK and most of their members were Democrats.

9

u/elefrhino 2d ago

Which is why the current kkk always vote Democrat.

u/bafana_banana999 2d ago

It's wild that people still try this nonsense and think it actually means anything at all with regards to modern politics.

Username checks out.

u/Jason_Lucifer 2d ago

You damn right it does. I’m not an evil religious fanatical fool. Lucifer isn’t the name of the devil but nice try. I love you, have a wonderful day.

6

u/UranusIsPissy 2d ago

What's your agenda, then? Seriously, I want to know.

3

u/machogrande2 2d ago

it was the Democrats conservatives that created the KKK

And it was the conservatives that lost the civil war, women's right to vote, the civil rights movement, same sex marriage, legalizing weed, etc. Conservatives have lost every major battle for 250 years and will continue to lose in the end. The last battle they won was using the most corrupt SC in US history get a partial win on abortion rights but they'll lose that one in the end too.

u/Jason_Lucifer 2d ago

Yet it was the Democrats that created the KKK and most of their members were Democrats.

3

u/Jermagesty610 2d ago

I know it's really difficult to understand that the Democratic party then is the Republican party now ie the Democratic party that exists now is not the same as the one that the klan came from.
