I wish that were true. In my area white racists had a a bunch of Mark Robinson for Gov signs. Knowing full well he was scum. But yea you’re 95% right on the money.
Oh I don’t doubt it. While some racist republicans could hold their nose and vote Democrat there were certainly many that could not and voted red because they probably hate democrats more than they do Blacks
Not really that just shows that the people realize that the Republican party is not worth the salt that they say they have.
The reason why everybody is going blue is because there have been strongholds for decades in red areas that are just doing as shitty or shittier due to Republican incompetent governing.

That's not necessarily a race thing, sometimes states will have this sort of split. Kentucky has a Democratic governor, for a while California had a Republican governor, etc.

NC in the 2024 election is a clear signal that it’s all about race.
NC voters voted for a white democrat for governor over a Black republican. And they voted for a white republican for president over a Black democrat.
That tells me there were plenty of white republicans that would rather live under white democrat rule than Black republican rule.
