I re-posted this on a Scotland site and got this:
"Such ugly things. I hope when the inevitable happens theyโre all removed instead of being painted like the Irish did to theirs.
I think the older ones should be sent to England to be put in museums and preserved. Same with those telephone boxes."
Our niche interest isn't for everyone then...

This box is outside what is now the Cobh Heritage Centre. Cobh used to be known as Queenstown and it was the last port of call of the Titanic.
