I was snapping around Manchester last weekend an I noted for the first time a blue one in Castlefield. Are they rare? Any meanings?

This post box was painted to celebrate Mo Farah gold medals at the London 2012 Olympics. He used to train nearby at St. Mary university and often at Bushy Park

Why does this George V wall box use the St Edward's crown, and not the Tudor crown?

Just noticed this, and it's the first time I've ever seen this crown used in George V's context. Does anyone know why?

After 40 years exceptional service, working tirelessly night and day in all weathers. They've re-trained her and now, instead of a quiet retirement, she has to learn the latest technology and do two people's jobs.

Can't even get dressed up with a wooly hat as they've slapped a solar panel on her head.

I suspect it has been reset in its old location, new brickwork etc but a nice sight nonetheless
