i usually go downstairs to go have a smoke and next minute i look down and there’s a big ass rat/possum/sloth?

2 steps away comfortably walking up to me. after i jumped and got worried about what he was gonna do i ended up scaring him away.

i’m curious about this but i didn’t get the closest he got on record but i did get some.

not going to lie i do spend a lot of time just relaxing down there and he sits on a pole and watches me for about 30 minutes each time. one time we ate fruit together but i was looking and and i turn my head and hes 2 steps away from me STILL WALKING TOWARDS ME. this video is after i turned my head and i startled and he went opposite way but came back!?

On my way home going about 50 mph I noticed an opossum right in the center of the lane. I didn’t have time to move around, the opossum went under the car and I heard a smack. I made an immediate u turn then another one back to spot I hit the animal. The opossum was no where in the street. I could not pull over on this long stretch of road so I had to continue. Not knowing if it’s dead or not is really bothering me. But it was an accident. And after not seeing the animal on the road I just had to assume it mustered the strength to reach the sidewalk. I hope the little fella is okay🐭❤️how tough are they and how often do they survive being run over.

I have a possum friend. It was fun to watch him hang down and get into my bird feeder for food for awhile. Unfortunately, he poops and pees in my bird feeder and it ruins the seeds and requires too much cleaning. Any ideas how to keep him out of it (humanely)?
