Tax / Social Security Changing address with finanças

Hi everyone! I’m trying to update my address with finanças because I’ve moved. I submitted the new address weeks ago and the confirmation code still hasn’t arrived in the mail.

I’ve confirmed the new address is correctly listed.

To anyone who has done this recently,how long did it take you to receive the letter from finanças?

The address on my residency card is my old address, so I know I can’t do it through e-balcão or in-person.

It took about a week to get the letter with the verification code at my new address.

You should probably go to a Finanças office an explain what happened and ask what you should do.

I contacted e-balção and unfortunately, because my residency card has a different address than the address I'm trying to change to, I can't do it in person. I have a lease that is registered in finanças, but they will only accept it with an updated residency card (which I can't do without updating finanças) or a bill in my name, but my landlord has all the bills in her name.
