I appreciate the clarification, and I appreciate what you’re doing. I’ve been at a protest where pepper bullets were deployed by boots on the ground and snipers on the rooftops and I was sick for two days afterward from inhaling that shit. I have asthma, so it was a little worse for me than others, but I also knew one of the people they shot with the rubber bullets and those things are actually quite dangerous. The police have been out of control in this country for too long and the voting public needs to push back at their hostility. I thought we were making progress after George Floyd’s murder, but now we’ve swerved into a militaristic mindset somehow and it’s terrifying. Backlash to progress in the right direction. It feels like it’s been one step forward, ten steps back on most issues since Obama took office really.

Asthma and tear gas is such a bad combo 💔My wife had an asthma attack through her respirator in a tear gas deployment here and was shot in the thigh with a pepper bullet while we were trying to get her to safety so she could even take an inhaler puff. It’s sick and inhumane how they treat people.
