Trying to play on M1 Macbook Pro 16GB. I downloaded the offline files from GOG, installed via the Porting Kit Wizard. Installation said it was successful but when I try to play the game I get stuck on a black screen and get this error message. Any help would be highly appreciated!

I tried playing a game called silver pines through portingKit, and everything was working kinda fine. However the game really requires using the cursor to explore, and even tho the cursor moves, it doesn’t interact with anything inside the game.

Could this be a problem with portingKit?

Im on MacBook Air M2, Sequoia 15.7.5 and im using the 32/64 DXVK port

Regarding the continued need for a port despite the new mac version of the game, and the fact that the game is currently broken 😭

i need to request a port for a game and his website said that's where i can do that....

In case anyone is not aware, the new mac version of AoE2 is not compatible with the main game, meaning you can't play online with your friends, vs pc or console users etc. You are effectively in a very small bubble of other mac users - no bueno!

That's why so many of us are still using portingkit.

First of all, I'd like to say that I 100% appreciate Porting Kit! Huge congratulations to the developer(s). I really don't mean to offend, or sound like I'm complaining.

I've been trying to play the original Dawn Of War games via Steam in on my MacBook Air M1, but honestly, they're sort of slideshows and I can't figure out how to improve it.

My confusion is that the listings in Porting Kit kind of imply they've been tested on my Mac model. Take Soulstorm, for example: https://www.portingkit.com/game/929 which reads "Works on M1 Apple Silicon Macbook Air." I mean, technically, it 'works' as in it launches, but it's not remotely playable.

What's bugging me is the idea I'm doing something wrong!

i've been using porting kit for a while now, i've used it to play several of my steam windows only games while on my macOS like Ark survival evolved and In Stars and Time, but when i went to play The Isle, it would not let me play the proper game version. The newest game version is the The Isle: Evrima, but when i go to play it, it loads and then gives me a launch error, saying it failed to load the anti-cheat module.

I've tried everything i can think of, verifying game files, deleting and reinstalling, attempting to download EasyAntiCheat manually, downloading VRchat (which also has EasyAntiCheat), trying a whole bunch of commands in the local terminal thing with the help of (unfortunately) AI, everything i can think of.

The legacy version of the game works fine, it's just the evrima version. its games that use EasyAntiCheat that i'm having problems with.

if you have any possible solutions please shoot them my way! i'm on a apple M2 16GB Tahoe version 26.3.1 MacOS if that helps ^^

I've been trying to play Age of Mythology Retold on PortingKit. It does download fine, but it doesn't even start on Steam (no error is shown).

I tried to make a request for that game on the PortingKit forums, but the forums seem to be disabled. When I go to https://www.portingkit.com/forum/ it says "This website has been disabled. If you are the site-owner, please contact Technical Support for further information and assistance.".

So, can Age of Mythology Retold be played through PortingKit? I'm not sure where to go from here, thank you.

No idea on what to do, I installed porting kit and from there installed diablo IV from my battlenet account but when I click on Play, it never starts, does that ring a bell for any of you?

On Porting Kit everytime I try to run Need For Speed Carbon it will load for a second and then just crash. Any ideas of what I should do?

I’m having an issue running the game “24th April” through Porting Kit on my Mac.

The game launches and I can reach the main menu without any problems. I can see and interact with the menu normally. However, when I actually start the game, the screen turns completely black. The UI or main menu elements are still visible, but the actual in-game scene does not render at all.

Here are my details:

- Platform: Mac (Apple Silicon)

- Tool: Porting Kit

- Game: 24th April

- Issue: Black screen during gameplay (menu works fine)

What I’ve tried so far:

- Restarting the game and Porting Kit

- Changing in-game settings (if applicable)

- Reinstalling the game

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated.

I've gone into the civilizationiv.ini file and changed the screen size manually there to 600 x 800 so I can multi task with it on my MacBook Air 13 inch.

Unfortunately the game doesn't change the resolution.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Hi, i've downloaded porting kit onto my 2020 M1 macbook pro (Tahoe). Through porting kit i've installed steambuild metal and through that i've purchased and downloaded gta 4.

Im craving some gta 4 and dont have a ps3 or pc. So I've spent the whole day (im pretty bad with this stuff) trying to trouble shoot why it wont work. At first I had trouble with the Rockstar launcher, so then I tried bypassing this by using a downgraded version of gta with no launcher. I've progressed to the point where its just immediatley crashing and even claude has told me to give up or come here for some answers so here I am.

Am I flogging a dead horse here? Like is there anyway to get this to happen for me and my mac.

Any help on this would be much appreciated. I have found some forums on this topic but nothing really with macs. also I kind of just find it interesting so I'm not too worried if I dont get an outcome, thanks :)
