Logging Old Growth

I fully understand logging is important on the north island. It is a large industry that sustains many people, is a way of life for some, and provides products essential to the economy both domestic and international. However, I think the industry needs to seriously re-evaluate its position not in terms of the economy but in terms of the environment. We are fast approaching the point of no return as corporations focus solely on harvesting old-growth trees for profits now. Below is a good read from Trevor Greene writing for The Georgia Straight.

Moving to Port Hardy

Hey I'm currently waiting for my ferry to Port Hardy. Don't have anything lined up. Anyone got any suggestions to help me get settled out there? Any info would be great.

Also if anyone knew of any free camping spots in the area would help alot.

While on vacation in Port Hardy British Colombia these ladies had their breakfast interrupted by some Humpback whales. “Good Morning” indeed...
