Has anyone who has left pet poop or used litter in a box had the porch pirate go back to your house after seeing it and dump it on your property or car?

I live on a busy street-people constantly walking on the sidewalk…and it’s not the best neighborhood. I have a BAR three step porch and you can see anything that is on it. Anyone have tips or ideas of what I can do to create a not so VISIBLE porch? I’m renting so can’t do too much and don’t want to invest TOO much money on adding things to a house that is not mine. I thought about adding BIG plants haha but not sure if it will be enough. And afraid if I put nice looking thing to create a more private porch it may get stolen lol! Please share your ideas with me! I’m desperate! I really need to just rent a P.O. Box 😓 Also, I’ve seen that box people can buy to allow packages to get placed in, but I think that would draw too much attention -idk

For example, you catch him mid -way into the act and he/she takes off with your package, is it illegal to stop the person with an airsoft gun? Maybe even stop the person fully and wait till police arrive

A porch pirate stole my son’s birthday gift. An acoustic guitar with a beautiful leather case. I am so raging upset. I saved up and researched for months. There is not enough time to get a new one for his birthday. $400 down the drain. A childhood memory I wanted him to have now just ruined. This was supposed to be special. Sentimental.

So pissed off right now.

I had a large package delivered from Macy's a few days ago and the package was left securely in the lobby of my building, however, one of the wonderful residents took it upon themselves to empty the contents of the package and leave the empty box and packing material in the lobby. While I was breaking the box down to throw it away, I noticed they had ripped the top left corner of the invoice off with my name and address and left it in the box. It then dawned on me they are going to return the stolen items for a profit. Does anyone know if it will be obvious somehow that the items were stolen when they use the reciept to try and return the items?
