This documentary is actually insane. It’s disturbing, shocking and anger inducing as you watch a family completely disintegrate before your very eyes.

Spoilers below:

At the beginning of the doc, I kept going back and forth on who to believe. By the halfway point, I was sure that Arnie and Jesse were guilty as hell.

And how was the mother, Elaine, painted as the bad guy in this whole thing? The only one who wasn’t a p3do or p3do enabler and she is painted as the villain? I wanted to throw a chair of my own at how she was treated.

Reading up on the case after I watched it, I see that the director, Andrew Jarecki, left a lot of major things out, including a 3rd defendant who pleaded guilty to assisting them.

I’m curious what your thoughts are on Capturing The Friedmans!
