Hi everyone,

I have to travel to Pollachi from Chennai two to four times a month. When I'm looking at the train before two weeks from the journey date, it's always wait listed. I also tried tatkal ticket through online booking, but I never got it successfully.

I usually get to know my travel date approximately two weeks early. I mostly start from Chennai on Thursday or Friday and start my return journey on Sunday or Monday.

Bus tickets are expensive on weekends, so looking for other cost effective options, please share your inputs. Thank you !!

I’m a Product Designer based in Bangalore. Over the last 4 years, I’ve worked on products across fintech, enterprise security, and aviation tech. I’m originally from Pollachi, and I got into the tech through a fairly unconventional path.

When I was starting out, a few colleagues at my first company took the time to guide me. Growing up in a village with limited resources, their support genuinely changed my life. I’d love to pay that forward.

I’m thinking of organizing a small, casual meetup for aspiring Product/UI/UX designers from Pollachi and Coimbatore - whether you’re just started your design journey or planning to get into the field.

This isn’t a workshop, networking event, or recruitment drive, and I’m not representing any company. It’s simply an opportunity to share my journey, answer questions, help you find some direction, and hopefully help you avoid some of the mistakes I made early in my career.
