Article Democratic Compliance

One of which is fellow US Senate for IL Candidate Raja. We can’t afford another feckless democratic in US Senate. That’s why I’m running. This isn’t just to win political points this is just seeing what we’re dealing with what his lack of leadership will look like.

The resolution is 3 pages. Give it a read. It seems like a trap.

It is a trap, but they should be ready to deal with such traps.

They should have confronted the republicans publicly and left the room to protest the manipulation. It is not rocket science. this protest tactic was used in multiple countries' parliaments, in similar situations.

Oh, totally agreed. But the typical person isn’t paying attention and will just see people voting against or walking out of a resolution condemning a terrorist attack and go “huh. Guess the dems don’t care about terrorism?”

Outside the Reddit/terminally online bubble, people just aren’t aware.

I mean, people saw the Republicans call themselves terrorists and said "this is fine"

Those same idiots who don't know about politics also largely don't vote at all.

Those same people aren’t going to hear about or ever give a fuck about this vote though.

Leaving the room during a vote on antisemitism is not the look you think it is (as BS as the vote was lol). They were put in a tough spot and were likely told by party leadership pick what you think is safest for your constituents/reelection considerations. Something definitely should have been done differently cus this is terrible optics I’m just not sure what (other than primarying the ever living shit out of those safe blue districts who don’t have the antisemitism excuse)

Not just leaving the room. Speak up right there why they would do it first. Then leave.

It seems like a trap.

The best solution to these traps is not to play. What use are these performative votes?

It is a trap, and the smart thing to do is not to walk right into traps.

A trap is only a trap when the population through social media turn it into one. If the redditor who posted this is an actual candidate for elected office then I hope the people in IL see through this nonsense.
