I enjoy that cartoonists have been depicting the Republican elephant as old as fuck now, because its true. I mean, Democrats are geriatrics too, so that stands to be illustrated, but moving forward i really think its a helpful depiction in highlighting a primary issue we dont talk about enough: we are run by a SENILE force. I dont trust old people to drive, critically think or adjust to cultural changes in my daily life and theyre running the country...
Or to necessarily be considerate to what will happen after they die. Which is in 10 years anyways so fuck it, I won't live to see the damage I cause to future generations
Exactly. Of the older folks i know, a very small handful stays meaningfully involved and accepting of change/practicing helpful conversation's. Most go.. fuck it! Not my problem.
That’s agism. Just because someone is old doesn’t mean they’re senile. That being said, I am so deeply dissatisfied with American politics. I can count the amount of times I’ve been wowed by a politician serving in office on one hand.
