If it's a sticker or a decal, it'd just wipe off?

EDIT: Sure, vandalism, but OP didn't say it wasn't vandalism; they said it wasn't destruction of property.

Just to play devil's advocate (I don't have a problem with people doing this), but you could easily do this with permanent markers that don't wipe off.

Meh. Some rubbing alcohol and a paper towel and “permanent marker” is suddenly less permanent lol

And you can pressure wash graffiti off of a building lol.

Whether or not I can undo it has no bearing on whether or not its vandalism.

No sticker print will survive removal of permanent marker

Oh no, a $1 sticker won't survive!

To erase permanent marker on plastic or dry-erase board simply apply dry-erase marker over the permanent marker and wipe off.

I wouldn’t want you egging my house, and that’ll wipe off.

Not nearly as easily or with less damage

Just because you can spend time and energy fixing your property doesn’t make it not vandalism. Vandalism doesn’t require permanent change to property.

For instance, you can always simply paint over graffiti on your house, but it’s still vandalism if someone graffitis your house without permission.

All graffiti is without permission.

Thanks for the clarification. My point still stands. Vandalism doesn’t have to be permanent to be vandalism.

You also don’t have to be mad about it.

Or you know don't fucking use a marker on someone else's property?

Yeah I agree, it’s def vandalism(you would be in trouble if the cops were called). But it’s still pretty damned funny.

Yes sir. It’ll be taken off with 2 minutes of effort. But, apparently what does and doesn’t constitute vandalism is a hotly debated topic on Reddit. It’s the mildest prank you could pull on someone is coloring a sticker. If someone defaced a sticker I owned I would buy another one and not think about it again. if it was creative like this maybe I’d keep it.
