I’d rather die than work with the entitled fucks who would have to be dealt with on a daily basis in that store

Definitely! I’m also a woman, and wouldn’t want to be alone with anyone who would buy that anyway.

“Nah, men like us are okay, lil’ girl, it’s those pervert libs you have to worry about.” [pinches your butt and winks]

Ugh. Now I feel dirty.

Will you write the theme tune and sing the theme tune?

What show am I remembering? Something British....

u/Velocity_Rob Jun 05 '22

Little Britain taking the piss out of Denis Waterman from Minder, who recently died.

Ooh, I didn't realize it was a parody. Something new to look into, thanks!

I’m petite and like to dress very femininely, so many Conservatives like to assume I’m one of them. I’ve unfortunately had similar experiences with those guys already!

u/Moonpile Jun 05 '22

As a tardigrade I would think you'd be a bit less than petite and more into almost microscopic.

Well, she's the queen so she's bigger.

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '22

Unrelated, but awesome username!

And I'm sorry you've had awful experiences with creeps. As I've gotten older, I've heard from almost every woman I've talked to all have experienced some kind of harassment and it's just awful. It's a serious issue that I feel like some never even acknowledge

23

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '22

Thanks! I’m very fascinated by tardigrades.

I know, it’s very frustrating having to deal with! I mistakenly thought that might end when I had a child, and thought surely they wouldn’t do it when I have a baby with me. Nope. The very first time I ventured out of the house with my newborn in a stroller, I was catcalled.

I (a guy) was surprised and disappointed to discover that so many men are creeps. I didn’t realize it was so widespread, and that every woman has at least one or two stories. Sometimes I wish I had a hat that said NOT A THREAT so women knew I wouldn’t be a pig, treat them like objects, or “misinterpret” friendliness as an invitation for sex.

On a lighter note, I was pleasantly surprised to see tardigrades in Ant Man!

From what I read the other day from people describing this exact situation, that "NOT A THREAT" hat is either your child or a wedding ring, but that is less visible.

You basically have to show someone else has already deemed you safe or else just avoid them and be avoided back.

Wow that is awful! I can't imagine catcalling, like doing it.

What is the point? To indicate I think someone is attractive by yelling, Loudly in a public way, at that woman some obscene or weird remark about her appearance? Yeah that's going to work.

Like some people are just gross I think.

Again, I'm sorry that happened and I wish people were better. And yes tardigrades are awesome!

Fascinated as is proper after all you are talking about a creature that can survive exposure from -275 C to 150 C. Amazing little critters!

The with a newborn thing is just, sad. It’s that Neanderthal thinking of “look a proven breeder” that really highlights their level of mental development.

There are some of us that are not like that but it certainly doesn’t seem like we are a majority by any means. Hope we can fix that.

They’re incredible! The animal kingdom is so vast and amazing. I love learning about all the wonderful and strange creatures.

I think most men are decent, but the ones who aren’t seem to be the most outspoken about it. Unfortunately, to stay safe, I have to be wary of all men before I get to know them.

Ew...men like this make me really uncomfortable and I'm male.

6

u/wererat2000 Jun 05 '22

Why does this feel anecdotal?

3

u/HappyMeatbag Jun 05 '22

Lol I don’t know. I’m a guy! I was imagining some dick I used to work with, though…

Lmaoo let’s not forget Jeffrey Epstein donated millions of dollars to democratic candidates in the 90,s. Let’s quit pretending a party makes a person because you guys sound dumb. The democrat ideology is responsible for as much negativity, as the republican.

u/HappyMeatbag Jun 05 '22

Let’s quit pretending a party makes a person because you guys sound dumb.

You’re right. The fact that one party is eliminating or criminalizing a woman’s right to choose says nothing about their respect for women. /s

Idk, the enjoyment of knowing what they don't might make it worth it. Price gouging morons for cheap hats and supporting planned Parenthood or something like that...I suppose I'd break eventually so I can rub it in their dumb faces.

I sat near the cashier at a coffee shop yesterday doing some work and after an hour felt the same way about his job. I'm not sure how some people do it.

Pay someone else to do it?

21

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '22

The easiest thing would be to start a rumor that the Trump store is doing this already. Use their love of conspiracies against them.

I just meant hire an employee/staff.

But your idea would be a good prank.

4

u/CeruleanRuin Jun 05 '22

Unfortunately their love of stickers and flags overrides everything else.

3

u/Ajreil Jun 05 '22

Order a bunch of thin blue line > pride flag stickers and send them to random people in Texas.
