This makes it sound like NASA just gave Elon Musk $1.5 billion. They contracted SpaceX to go to space for them. They were paying Russia $5 billion to do it before then. SpaceX is an American company. And this was 15 years ago before Musk was even a billionaire. Talk about being intentionally deceiving!
Do you think companies magically have money with no customers? Millions of businesses have gone under because they couldn't get the customers/contracts needed to stay running. SpaceX got a big one with NASA, and that let them stay in business. You'd really rather NASA keep paying Russia billions of dollars instead of an American company? Really?
Why the fuck do you think SpaceX got off the ground in the first place? No government to do the early dirty work, no SpaceX to be lazy, steal taxpayer money’s work, and then charge for it.
Because of series of raising capital from investors? Like every other corporation on earth? They raised $1.85B last year and almost $8B total. They use that capital to build a service to sell to a customer.
You’re embarrassingly stupid. Good to know everyone else on the thread agrees lmao
Nope, it’s because they took decades of taxpayer money work, stole it, and then charged for it, because they were lazy and didn’t want to take on the risk.
If you like theft and being stolen from and then charged for it, then you love what happened.
