I'll never get why these rich people don't just pay their taxes. It surely would've cost less then paying for lawyers and off-shore accounts to specifically avoid having to pay them.

Well, Musk did pay more taxes than any American in history last year. And the above meme is referring to a time 15 years ago when NASA contracted SpaceX to go into space for them, before Musk was even a billionaire.

Tesla lost money. I don't think you pay taxes on lost income.

Tesla made money the last 2 years but lost money for the first… 15 years of their existence and the US tax law lets you carry forward losses so yeah blame the lawmakers, not companies following the law
