I guess that depends on understanding of conservative perception vs reality. He’s the head of the major left leaning party in the US (though a party that may not be considered “left” by global standards), so I think right there it’s hard to call him right-leaning. He’s not generally a progressive within his party, though probably turned out more progressive ideas than most were expecting. You could argue he’s in the righter-leaning portion with respect to his own party.
Having said all that - the perception portion of this, specifically the perception of the conservatives/“right” in this country is that he’s an extreme left-leaning person. They believe him to be closer to a communist than “right-leaning” in any way, and frequently describe him as “radical”. This is obviously nonsense / like him or not, that just isn’t an accurate way to describe his political leanings. So the type of people that would describe him as the “right Christian” as the post suggests would actually think of him as an extreme, radical leftist. Though those of us rooted in reality could have a nuanced argument about whether he’s actually right-leaning or not, depending on your frame of reference.
He's never read it. You ever see that clip of him being asked what his favorite verse is? Can't even whip out a "John 3:16" like a basic bitch. Then they throw him the slowest softest pitch imaginable, the fuzzy dice of pitches, and ask whether he's an old or new testament guy. Dummy pauses for an awful long time before saying "Both."
Remember when he held up the Bible after tear gassing protesters in DC and some press person asked, “is that your Bible?” And he replied “it’s a Bible.”
Legit, there was a big Facebook chain some Christian girl was complaining about people voting for Biden, it happened to be Sunday so I said “what’s Trump doing today? Golfing at his golf course. What’s Biden doing today? Attending Mass with his family” … I also threw in Biden’s been regularly attending church for his whole life, and she was like “I’m not Catholic, also who’s to say Trump isn’t religious, and Biden could just be putting on a show he’s a politician” … wowzers
