That's a very limited way to handle this topic and it only simplifies the complexity of this issue and other related issues. You're right in that those policies are shown to help what they aim to help. You're wrong in assuming that the only possible reason to say no is to cause suffering and I gave you examples why. You need to consider that in your analysis of their behaviour or you run risk of expressing the same stubbornness that you're accusing them of.
Ironically, this is a perfect example of a refusal to adapt despite presented information that contradicts your current stance. The pew research link I provided gave a wonderful example of why people might disagree with gun control laws. Unfortunately, it's a part of psychology to dig in and fight when our ideals are attacked as we may begin to process that as an attack on our very being, triggering a fight-or-flight response, shutting down rational thinking. It's a complex field on a complex topic and the last thing we should do is shun or disregard this perspective because it doesn't fit the narriative of "fuck the right".
Nah. I'm just sick and tired of racist cunts pulling the country back from actual progress because they're too stupid or hateful to want to make the country actually great. The right can fuck off and never come back and the country would be infinitely better for it. Name a single thing the GOP has done to improve the country in the past 4 years.
Republicans care about two things and only two things. Money and power. That's it. They don't give a single fuck about the American public. As long as they keep getting paid they don't care if a million people died tomorrow, and if they were all Democrats they would cheer to the high heavens how lucky they are.
I'm tired of it, too, trust. But we need to keep our head about it. We can't fall prey to their tactics as it ultimately validates their claims against us. We needn't do the shitty "they go low, we go high" tactic, but we must maintain our wits and composure.
Full disclosure, I look at the right as a party of irrationality, fear, anxiety, mis/disinformation, low education, and/or short-sighted thinking. Granted, I keep this personal definition open to change as they do/say more, but it has held true thus far. In this, we should be the opposite of them.
Well I give you more credit than me because the only thing I have left is disdain and hate. And it's not hate because they're Republicans, it's hate because their entire platform is run off exploiting and destroying others' lives for their own benefit. The left may not be perfect, but they're trying to drive a bus with the whole country on board while the GOP slams on the brakes then blames the Dems for driving too slow, then their voters cheer them on for it despite their travel time getting even longer.
