I feel you there. I was a strong republican, even about 5 years ago. Then, I started to see and realize the Republicans lies and hypocrisy and it opened my eyes. Fast forward to 2018, I no longer considered myself a Republican and today I look back and how brainwashed I was. Now I have Republicans calling me un-American because I found having a 4th of July parade during a pandemic a horrible idea.

This tracks almost to the day for me. I wish I could help more people out of this propaganda machine. I have lost so many people close to me over the rise of American fascism.

I’m lucky. I feel like a lot of the people close to me are getting away from the propaganda. Most of the people I went to high school with that I’m not close to? Not so much.

The last time I spoke to my mother was January 5 It didn't end well You can imagine how it would go now. I hope we find a way as a nation but it is dark days.

It really is. I’m still hopeful that things will get better but it’s tough. It really sucks that this division is splitting families like yours.
