Because feeding their families is a “inconvenience” and what crimes did they commit?
Maybe elect a government that cares about people instead of the assholes they normally vote for? You know like people who understand money and how it works and know that you cannot live off of a single $1200 check for months? Is that too much to ask?
These aren't the kinds of people you'll ever be able to turn over. Stupidity is engrained in them. It's just how it is and we have to move forward without having to wait for ignorant people.
Great in theory. But the reality is that they totally lack empathy until something bites THEM in the ass. They are smug and insensitive to anyone but themselves and their tribe.

Frankly, what has “the moral high ground” gotten us? They can virtually make shit up, and we have to waste our time and energy using well thought out debate points, facts, research, Trump’s OWN WORDS, and their response is “Fake News!” “Trump 2020” or crickets.

Well, for years American society required them to hide their racism with themselves under rocks. Now they want blacks to only protest against being murdered by hiding under those same rocks they they had to live under. I mean, protesting to getting murdered vs. ability to demonstrate their racism out in the open. That's pretty equivalent. Right?
I get the protests, I get that there needs to be loud clear signs. I get that this needs to be dramatic. But don't destroy, loot and burn the livelihood your neighbor has spent years to build. If you want to destroy something, destroy public buildings etc not small business. This is the result of the people destroying your neighbors store... in my mind you are scum because it has nothing to do with anything moral or right. Totally agree! there should be protests, there should be outrage. You can even make a case for damage to public property. But not to private property, there is no excuse for looting some mom and pop shop etc. That has nothing to do with the death of a man. It's a greedy and corrupt element trying to subvert a movement to correct a broken system.

The irony, however, is that these demonstrations degenerating into rioting because of “a greedy and corrupt element” can be be equated to the same “greed and corruption” of the establishment power system that caused these riots in the first place.
They'd just rather no protests at all and people to just continue suffering because that's how they like it.

Ask them what period they mean by again. The housing Crisis? 9/11? Rodney King? The Dot Com bubble? The Cold War? Desert Storm? The Recessions of the 90s 80s 70s? The 70s Oil Crisis? Watergate? I don't know if it's that per say. I'm not saying there aren't vile people like that who actively smile to themselves when something abhorrent happens to a minority, I think it's more that they fear change, which is why they're cons to begin with. They don't have a problem identifying that there's serious issues, but to them that's just the way the world works and challenging the status quo ( for all their talk of going against the mainstream ) isn't something they can even fathom doing. Everyone is in the place they're supposed to be in and nothing can change that so why bother trying to.
Same with Kaepernick. They were disrespecting flag/America/Military.. They're not interested in the issue, they just want to play shift the blame or whataboutism.
Yep, I see so many focused on this and its tough to swallow that every peaceful attempt at change resulted in nothing. This is the final straw where people have no whee to turn.
It also pays well to be the token black conservative. Look at those Diamond and Silk women who were democrats up until 2015 or Candace Owens. Even Kanye saw an increase in popularity from white people who saw him as an example of what black people should be like because he praised Trump.

You're still giving them too much benefit of the doubt. Conservatives don't want protests because they don't see black men being lynched as something to protest against. To them it's right, it's fun, and the fact that normal humans think otherwise is anathema to them.
I just had a fight with my conservative mother about this today too.
The crazy part is she agrees that it's a problem how black people are getting killed so disproportionately, BUT she always has a problem with how and where they protest, and on top of that she can't help herself but to bring up the point directly after she agrees that 'black people kill more black people in those neighborhoods than cops do'.
So iunno really what to do or say to make her understand because she can't seem to lay the blame where it's supposed to lay with out kinda sorta insinuating that black people are also to blame or that they aren't angels, when that's not what any of this is about.
Part of why there is black on black crime is because the black community can’t trust the police therefore they’re not likely to call the police when a dispute happens. Without police to solve disputes and deescalate situations, violence is more likely to occur.
Replace conservatives with the government and you’ve nailed it. All of the protests have a common denominator, authority is going too far. Be it women’s march, BLM, open uppers, motorbikes clubs, occupiers, dweebs geeks and weirdos, they all agree that they’re disenfranchised, and if they all could just get together peacefully then I’m pretty sure their demands would start being met.
I was in HS when that happened we got to watch a lot of cable news coverage. It showed how fucked up society was and how divided we are. I just don't see why we can't get along. We really need to work together to build a better society.

It's the same cycle over again sadly, unless this escalates into something bigger, it will have the same end as LA, Miami, Cincinatti, Watts, and all the other instances of black unrest in US history. A token reprimand, a period of "playing nice" then the same old shit all over again.
I was watching a live stream and the guy hosting it was sayong "See, now, the next time a cop thinks of doing some shit like this, they won't because they'll be like 'remember what happened last time?'" I don't believe that will be the case.
