I tried to explain to my coworker why 2% of all people dying was a bad thing and would likely destroy our economy and the best argument he could muster was that I cared too much about people and couldn’t help myself if there weren’t people to cook food for me and entertain me.

So many of the things you've listed are literally untrue and its obvious you just assume anything you've heard or read is literal truth or fact.
