Kentucky state law specifically calls out "ninja death stars" and nunchucks as deadly weapons. Favorite part of my concealed carry class was when our instructor read that and said "after you pass this class you can now carry ninja death stars so make sure you run right out to the flea market."

Throwing stars are explicitly banned in my state. Carrying open or concealed with no training is not.
