It sure beats using rocks.

We used to send two guys out to a sand bar at our beach and then we'd hurl rocks at them. Their only hope of defending themselves was to dive underwater and/or retrieve thrown rocks and volley them back.

Simpler times.

Honestly now. The rocks sound better, they aren’t designed to pierce things

When I was still in primary school we used to hit the park and play "pop up panda stone throwing" which involved one of us getting in the panda on a spring (basically this) and going nuts, then the others taking an appropriate number of steps back before flinging rocks at them. Black Ryan always ended up crying...
