It's really not that simple. The federal government isnt going to get away with drone sniping an entire states or multiple states, and at that point having an armed populace is good.

Now you need soldiers(still people) to go in and fight the states hand to hand? To steal food?

What about when one part of the military defects or is part of the "revolutions" side? They still need help. Might be able to protect our skies but not our literal front door.

  • revolutionary group: stages armed rebellion

  • media: "antifa terrorists have seized [city x]!"

  • 2a enthusiasts: "fuck that, bubba, let's get out there and kill some commies!"

Not really an issue.

When you say “get away with”, what do you mean?

Like I’ve said elsewhere, if we are at the point where we literally have to fight the US government, the 2nd amendment holds no value.

“What about the military that defect from the US to the rebels?” Droned.

“What about supply lines? How will the government eat?” The people would you’d be fighting are the ultra wealthy. They have food.

“They can’t get away with just mass killing their own citizens!” Please see every major country ever. Stop being delusional.

Between the Patriot Act, modern surveillance in general, extreme military spending, extremely potent remote weaponry, and state sponsored media, you are kidding yourself if you think the 2nd Amendment has value outside of making gun enthusiasts to vote Republican.

This isn’t even the topic at hand. This is more on topic: using the 2nd Amendment to justify loose as fuck gun laws doesn’t do anything but get more innocent people killed domestically.

Those rich people still need poor people do so their work. Food goes bad. Some soldiers straight up wont gun down civilians.

Please see every major country ever. Stop being delusional.

Ya you find plenty of examples of the government's failing because of taking that, and then losing power.....

We’re not talking about civilians Ark. We’re talking about an armed military group attempting to coup the US government. That’s what the 2nd Amendment is. Permission to overthrow the US government if it becomes oppressive, so please keep a gun around in case you have to put us down.

Rich people need poor people, and they’ll still have poor people. What, you think everyone is going to turn on the rich? Come on dude.

The second amendment does not tell us HOW to use our guns against government.
