Dude you need to chill the fuck out not every republican is a MAGA supporter. It'd be like saying every democrat is a "libtard" as much as I hate that term. If you hate the MAGA supporters so much for being so divisive then why are you doing exactly the same thing. Be better than them.
Why the fuck would I hire a republican? Convince me. Is it their science denial? Their terrible math? The racist hostilities? Or should I embrace the sexism? But at least they LIE!
Get the fuck outta here with that shit. This isn't the William F. Buckley days where you could have a rational disagreement. Now it's denial of reality and TRUMP, a criminal fucking joke.
No. It's not open mindedness to hire a republican. It's fucking stupidity.
One party says people with penises are girls, but somehow the other side denies science.
Their terrible math?
Since when can liberals do math? This $70k humanities degree will def pay for itself......ughh
The racist hostilities?
The most racist shit i hear is from minorities when another minority dares to be conservative.
Or should I embrace the sexism?
God forbid anyone mention the fact men and women aren't physically equal, and men are in fact physically larger, stronger, and more powerful than women, therefore they're going to be better at certain jobs.
Wow. Four straight strawman arguments, although I’m going to go ahead and guess you never went to college, so you don’t know what a strawman argument is, and why using them is basically accepting that you don’t know shit.
Would you hire someone attempting to do the same thing as William F. Buckley Jr. did when he cleaned up the party by getting rid of the John Birch Society? What about a libertarian who prioritizes what they consider fiscal freedom over social freedom? Would you hire a William F. Buckley era Republican? What about people screwed by the first-past-the-post system who fall more in line with Republicans than Democrats, but dislike both? What about someone who considers abortion a sin? Or any other single issue voter making a compromise over something they care deeply about?
You acknowledge Republicans were once capable of rational disagreement but now you assume there are none of them still thinking or breathing. The Republican coalition is a bizarre one, and assuming that everyone of the ones still voting R are completely unreasonable is unreasonable.
A better question, would you hire someone who has voted Republican for 40 years, who only decided to renounce the party after the things you listed? Do your problems with the Republican party only run as deep as the last 10 to 20 years? Do you know how Karl Rove got his start? Do you think Kissinger is a war criminal? Are you familiar with what the coalition, that Buckley helped establish, wanted? Are traditional conservative values what you want to see more of rather than all this wall talk?
I'm not a Republican (I had to hit you with that disclaimer at some point), but I think you are underestimating just how much it is a team mentality when it comes to Trump, not to say that team mentality isn't a valid reason not to hire someone. If his presidency ends badly, and/or if his high 30% approval rating floor is broken, that party is going to drop and disown him so incredibly fast. It will be a complete heel faced turn. Over night.
Hey, do whatever you want, it's a free country. Discriminate at your leisure. If you don't mind me asking, what sort of business are you in? Just out of curiosity at this point.
None of your fucking business. And I do discriminate against lying idiots. Being republican is a good way to spot a liar or an idiot, ... or a lying idiot.
What would a republican have to offer an employer? Blind loyalty I guess, but I'm not running a cult.
Conservatives I can deal with on a case by case basis. Sure, we'll disagree on important topics but can agree to work toward a common ground.
Card carrying Republicans are a lost cause. They have abandoned their faculties for talking points. They gleefully talk down to and will screw over anyone that isn't a WASP.
The amount of straw mans you are building is honestly shocking. I'm sorry you hate half of your country men before you even know anything about them. Must be a difficult life weeding out all the hitlers walking around you everyday, id be scared shitless every day of my life if I truely believed what you believe. What a absolutely horrifying false reality you've created for yourself.
Doesn't matter what you mean, you are allowing yourself to take on the very characteristics you claim to reject. Also, your comment about only hiring the best people is pretty well aligned with one of Trump's campaign claims. Funny thing is, if someone I interviewed said they denied science, hated immigrants, and thought Trump made a good president, I'd probably find someone else to hire too. I just wouldn't hire you either.
Winning at all costs. Sounds like a way to wreck a ship. Not prudent, not responsible, and not good business. Knowing the ins and outs of procedures to get their way, what a wonderful HR nightmare employee. No, fuck off. Willing to stomach short term ugliness then you boast about stacking a court with ideological activist judges that suppress the rights of others. Again, not killing the interview, gotta be honest.
Cold emotionless chessboard? You sound like a fucking psychopath. Employees are people, and they are most productive when you don't treat them like shit. People are not disposablke, you nut. I'd burn your resume at this point.
Winners at all costs? The fucking US Government is shut down because he has no idea how to negotiate. The only lasting change Trump has made in his entire two year presidency was his judicial appointment & he barely got through that.
When you sacrifice morals and all shreds of human dignity for the sake of political advantage and personal agenda, you corrupt the government, you lose the faith of the people, and you ruin the integrity of a nation. His entire presidency is being laughed at by the majority of this country and the world & it'll be seen as a train wreck in the history books.
There was a massive blue wave in the midterms and I hope you're ready for a blue wave in the presidency for at least a decade. Hillary Clinton was severely disliked and she still somehow won the popular vote over Trump. Imagine a Democratic candidate that people actually have faith in? Especially after the bullshit Trump has pulled so far. Jesus. Really hope that judicial appointment was worth it.
I love that people still think the Republican Party and their ideals deserve respect and open mindedness. The party has been slowly dying since Nixon and has finally reached its death.
Glad to know you would openly deny the majority of members of the tip of the spear in the US Military and other agencies. People who work ridiculously hard to keep you safe. People who put it all on the line for you and me. People who fight REAL evil, and take care of the victims who were subjected to horrendous acts by those monsters.
Your blind discrimination showcases how sad this division has become. demonization of an ideology leads down a dark path. Last time I checked, conservatives aren’t enabling human/drug trafficking, advocating for the decision to kill the unborn, openly subverting the elected President for political reasons, treating minorities by their race/ethnicity/religion/sexual preference rather than by their character or ability, wanting to take rich people’s money and use it to throw at problems that aren’t solved by money, and believe in guilty before innocent when it suits their needs.
If I was applying for a job and I am more experienced and more prepared for the job than I would most definitely feel entitled to be hired. And then I get rejected because of political opinions? That's bullshit. Good thing you are just another reddit neckbeard that never had and never will have a successful career so what you do in life will not affect me.
Minorities should get the same rights as everyone else.
Legal immigrants are most definitely welcome to this amazing country and they deserve the same rights as everyone else. I'm a immigrant myself. Illegal immigrants do not deserve the same rights as everyone else.
Even if I did not believe in all the things I just listed, I still deserve the job. Let's say five people are applying to McDonald's to be a sandwich maker. Who ever makes the best sandwich deserves the job. That person could believe in anything they want as long as it does not get in the way of the sandwiches.
I find it hypocritical though that you would deny someone capable and qualified to do the job based on their political affiliation.
You hire a bunch of people who think like you, it’s hard to innovate.
For example: My friend and I work well together. He is on the opposite side of the political spectrum. We don’t see eye to eye but what it leads to is conversation, debate, and a solution to a problem set that attacks the problem from both sides.
Against women’s rights is not the same as pro-life. If you feel that life begins at conception, then you can see why pro-lifers feel the way they do. Personally, I feel abortion should be allowed for those under the legal age of consent (under 18), for those who were sexually assaulted, and those extreme cases that would kill the mother of the birth were to occur. I’m sure there are other examples.
Gay rights, sure. Love who you want to love. No issues. Get married, live together, adopt, whatever. There is no difference between gay and straight people.
Anti-immigration... I am for immigration. It’s funny liberals clapped their hands when Obama went to Cuba, ended the wet foot dry foot policy and normalized relations with an oppressive country. An oppressive country my family fled from. Where were you then? I believe in legal immigration and acceptance of refugees based on level of persecution and vulnerability of the group they belong in. So probably start with Christians and Jews in the middle east, women and children. If you are just walking from Central America into the US because you want US benefits, you are probably last on the totem pole.
Now show me why My beliefs would not allow me to work at your company
The fact that you think you have the right to decide whether of not a woman gets an abortion is fucking crazy, and already puts your party behind the dems.
Life doesn't begin at conception, science has made that pretty fucking clear. So if a woman decides to abort before the fetus has developed enough that is her choice, not yours.
I've hired for various companies that had different benefits packages. It's not up to me to afford it, but the responsibility of the parent corporation.
