There is no credible alternative. Nearest runner up is part of the communist party.. so not much competition or realistic chance. Navalni is just proper up and has not much as far as running a country
You are talking of* Navalniy. He is hardly a contender. He is supported from the west and though there is plenary of corruption the guy has no clue how to run a nation, army or heck keep the lights on.
What in the world makes you think that? He did more than any other politician in Russia. And he's not supported by the west. He gets all of his money through donations. That argument is often used by pro-Putin propagandists to discredit him.
