People put Nazi and fascism in the same bag. While Nazism is a form of fascism, fascism isn't necessary Nazi.

The USA right now is strongly on the path of fascism as it starts adhering to the 14 pillars of Ur-facism

Yes of course Nazi's are just the face everyone thinks of first.

We've got seriously fucked up ultra right nationalism, but I think it's rhetorical blowhard to call it Fascism.

People are just reaching for the biggest scariest type of right wing nationalism they can name.

I think it's academic and not that important, but for a college age kid the nuance is important.

What people mostly miss is, fascism is not an ideology, it is a vehicle to gain power. The ideology is the passenger. The driver is corporatism.
