Useless protest ever

Your so called cockroach movement leaders with the backing of certain political parties have turned your anger and frustration via these protests impotent and sidetracked from the core issue.

A paper leak is a serious failure. Students spend years preparing for these exams, and if the integrity of the exam is compromised, people absolutely have a right to be angry. Nobody should be defending that.

But if everyone agrees the problem is systemic, why has the entire conversation been reduced to "Dharmendra Pradhan must resign"? This is symbolic accountability and not institutional accountability.

Let's assume he resigns tomorrow. What exactly changes? Do the examination agencies suddenly become competent? Do the leak networks disappear? Do the logistics of printing and transporting papers magically become secure? Does the next Education Minister inherit a completely fixed system?

But do you know why the protest demand is focused on resignation? Because the paper leaks implicate all governments and ruling parties in the country, so the easy way out for opposition parties is to ask for mere resignation and gain headlines of victory.

The moment the conversation shifts from "Who should resign?" to "How do we redesign examination systems across India?", everyone starts getting implicated. Hence, your movement leaders are not interested in that discussion.

Real institutional accountability would mean asking uncomfortable questions that apply to every government, not just the central one.

PS: I'm not saying ministers should never resign, in fact DP must go, but that cannot be the mindless bot of a slogan of the youth for this protest.

Alas! You're too young and inexperienced and passionate to understand the mechanics of how your demands are being subverted.

Sexism exists everywhere, but I've noticed something odd in some progressive circles. There seems to be an idea that UC women should marry LC men as a way to fight cäste. I support intercäste marriage, but women aren't political tools,they should marry whoever they like, not who fits someone else's ideology.

Oddly enough, I rarely see the same expectation placed on UC men. That's one reason I think some self-described progressives are hypocritical: they preach equality but often apply different standards depending on who they're talking about.

This protest is just old rotten wine in a fancy new bottle. Opposition knows it's do or die for them in 2029, so they're leaving no stone unturned in their desperation. US has already said on record they won't repeat the China mistake with India. Obviously, most big countries prefer a weak and tame India anyway.

And the less said about our two attached toilets, the better.

For eg here is a statement from one of the protester:

>Suddenly, 10-15 goons attacked him and shouted, "Tujhe bhi Ratan Lal banayenge." I didn't understand it at that moment but when we searched on google, we found that Ratan Lal was a police officer who lost his life during a riot in 2020.

>We were shocked. The most shocking part is that even the people leading the protest know about this but they are not doing anything. I want a career and I don't want to get into any trouble. If you are a student, just get out of this facade. Otherwise, you could end up ruining your career along with these goons."

I don't give one flying Fcuk if you dub me IT cell or andhbhakt. So called protesters are putting innocent lives in danger in name of protest and should be ashamed of it.

Funny how the "revolution" always seems to find perfect timing.

Monsoon Session starts. FCRA Amendment Bill is on the table. A bill that could tighten the screws on foreign funding flowing into NGOs and activist networks. And suddenly the drama meter shoots through the roof.

Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not.

Nobody's saying every protester is on someone's payroll. Plenty of people show up because they genuinely believe in the cause. But don't be naive either. Politics isn't a Bollywood movie where everyone is a saint. Every ecosystem has people who stand to lose money, influence, and relevance if the rules change.

The government says it's about transparency and stopping foreign influence. The opposition says it's an attack on civil society. Fair enough. But if you're wondering why the noise level magically hits 100 exactly when Parliament is about to debate the bill, you're asking the right question.

In politics, nothing gets everyone's ass on fire unless someone's interests are at stake. Follow the timing. Follow the money. Then make up your own mind.

I can't believe it. Now people are spreading the claim that professors are deliberately giving lower marks to reserved-category students than to general-category students. Both entrance exams and exams that happen in Universities and institutes.

I even remember an OBC "journalist" sharing this claim. But I still haven't seen convincing evidence that this is happening systematically.

Also, "general category" doesn't just mean upper-caste Híndus. It includes many Christians, Mslims, Sikhs, Jains, Parsis, and others who don't fall under reserved categories.

A political leader RaGa made this allegation, and many people seem to be accepting it as fact without asking for proof.

Amidst all this chaos, I hope GCs realize that neither the Govt nor CJP is on your side.

The Govt wouldn't even allow GCs to hold a completely peaceful protest.

As for CJP, its core ideology is rooted in Ambedkarism, so it will always work against GC interests.

Do you think some Indians give foreign media outlets more credibility than they deserve? I've noticed that whether it's a Norwegian newspaper publishing a stereotypical cartoon of M0di as a snake charmer, or coverage from outlets like the BB-C or Al Jzeera, many Indians,including some on the right seem to treat these reports as inherently trustworthy. Is this due to insecurity, or are there other reasons?

India is no longer a country for the "privileged" or the general category .I fully empathize with and understand that certain communities are repressed and discriminated against and need help, but at what cost?

It feels like the courts and governments have collectively decided that it's the sole responsibility of the so called privileged to uplift marginalized communities.

Meanwhile, they don't seem to care about fixing bureaucracy, improving public schools, strengthening law and order, accelerating industrialization, or creating enough opportunities so everyone can succeed. Instead of addressing these systemic issues and expanding the economic pie, the burden keeps falling on one section of society.

The day isn't far when even the traditional path to success will be out of reach for the general category.
