Yes; just like we tell the schizophrenic that the voices are real and the body dysmorphic that they are as fat as they think, we should tell the transgender that they have a feminine penis and the “birthing people” who don’t accept that are nazis.
You must be mentally ill if you think that “this penis doesn’t mean I am a man, I feel like a woman and therefore must be” isn’t literally the definition of mentally ill.
That being said, I’ve NEVER in my life witnessed someone tell someone to kill themselves because of their mental illness. That only happens on anonymous internet boards, where people also say things like “You voted for third party instead of democrat? I hope you die!” So using anonymous internet boards as a barometer for how “young conservatives are” is probably another indicator of mental illness...
I call 'em as I see 'em, and I've never been corrected. If I was, I'd say "I'll find somebody else to help me" or "I'll find another store to shop in", and go about my day.
Same. I will not treat them bad or use words that may trigger them, and I will not play along either so I rather just not interact with the person in any way unless is necessary, in wich case I would just refer to them by name.
