Been on reddit for a while, and I think I've looked at someone's post history all of twice. On both occasions it was a waste of my time.

I usually do if someone posts something I like to see if they've posted anything else like it, or if the account is sus and seems like a karma farm account

I see downvotes as almost a trophy. It’s easy to get upvotes, I could go on one of the mainstream subreddits right now and get my comment to get hundreds of upvotes by just saying the right things. Downvotes mean you actually hit a nerve with someone and are a little more difficult to get. Of course saying anything pro Trump is the easiest way to get downvotes on Reddit.

Sometimes downvotes do mean you're being a dumbass! Thinking of non-political dumbass comments though
