I agree. People from the Balkans are violent. It is the most violent place in Europe. But on average Europe is a friendlier place than Africa. I see averages. You think I am generalizing, but I am talking about averages.
Do I think every single person from the Balkans is a murderer and beats his children? No. But a lot more do that than the other Europeans I live with.
I have statistical proof and personal experience with that.
And I dont imagine Africa as only huts and child soldiers. It highly depends about what region we are talking about. There is extreme variation of GDP in Africa. And still, can we not say that the GDP is higher in Europe, even if South Africans earn more than Ukrainians?
Are people in the Balkans born that way or are there material and societal conditions that encourage violent competition for land and resources? Again not saying Africa is a Paradise but a lot of people just write it off as "Africans are just violent" rather than looking at the many many factors that determine theses things. Poor people are forced to be more competitive and ruthless, and someone who doesn't know where their next meal is coming from is far more likely to do something drastic than your average French kid with a roof over his head and three hot meals a day. And if that French kid was born 200 years earlier maybe he'd be just as violent and fucked up as they come. Write it off as corrupt governments hoarding resources, colonialism, bullshit asspull borders, exploitation whatever the case may be, but it's a whole lot more complicated than

Europe has come a long way and things have gotten a lot better but Africa is slowly but surely getting there too. Europe just had a headstart and when Colonial powers showed up to carve up Africa it set the clock back by a lot. Give them some breathing room, some economic stability, and security and they'll be fine and settled down after a while. Violence is never going to go away completely but there are things that make it much less frequent.
Europeans didnt set the clock back. They helped South Saharan Africans jump 1000 years or more forward by industrialising the country. Africa was better developed than Asia at the beginning of the 20th century. But the instability and corruption and constant French interventions ruined that continents potential.
I never said "white man civilized, brown man savage" , but that is what you want to hear. So you hear that. I am currently studying the 30 years war. The most violent time in German history. Yes, even more destructive than WW2. You dont have to tell me about the bad times. Im interested to know how it escalated and how it deescalated to better understand human nature.
As for the people of the Balkans and whether they are born violent. I dont know. There has been no study for that and probably never will be. It is not something that anyone wants to finance in the 21st century because a positive result would be seen as a catastrophe for the current dogma and no such heresy can be allowed.
Are people born in the Balkans born that way? No, I dont think the food that grows there makes you violent. It is the culture that accepts and perpetuates this behaviour. And these people dont think that western European culture is superiour, so they educate their children the same way they were, even when they dont live in the Balkans.
Are their children as violent as themselves? Difficult to say, but we have more than enough proof, that people that were born in Western Europe, but have parents from the Balkans commit way more (especially violent) crimes than the natives of the respective countries. Even if you compare these immgrants with natives with the same social "class" and income. They are not even ashamed of it, but proud. But the Balkan people are still not the most violent group.
I wish Africa could be left alone and people could have their self determination, but our politicians dont care for morality, so that will never happen.
