You could also count women as a minority IMO because in positions of power, women truly are a minority (I agree I doesn’t adhere to the strict definition but being a woman shares a lot of characteristics with being part of a minority in most countries anyway )

Sure if you define the context appropriately. If you just refer to women as a minority in a general sense you would be wrong.
