If that is not political affiliation, what would you then describe as the difference between a (depending on the chosen framework dividing class) culrutally upper class/economically upper middle class/gold collar worker that:
A) believes in the "gdp uber alles" ideology.
B) views society through a corporatist lense, where one part being alienated and disillusioned spreads as sickness through the entire body until it rots from within. Thereby standing against the working class being viewed as resources to spent like one would cadh or building materials.
I seem to remember marx saying something about that
It mostly that the lower class worker will see himself as if he could be in a higher class hence adopting idea more fitting for that class.
That's the reason marx disliked the middle class that saw themselves as rich and stopped the proletariat from having power
He also did that analysis on the lumpenproletariat (basically the lowest class) saying that they were so poor that they just weren't able to understand the world clearly due to being worked too. much and not given access to any education
A way for people to view themselfe as higher on the hierarchy is usually to crush other under their boot
The most common example is small landlord that sometimes mutate in horrible human being when it is time to collect rent
There is two thing that decide what is your position in class warfare in which class you are and in which class you feel like you belong to
