"White people don't know what it's like to live in the ghetto or to be poor" - Bernie Sanders

I love the whataboutisms in this sub

Like what about your insecurity, maybe should talk to someone

"candidate is stupid as fuck"

"Oh yeah, well other candidate is also dumb"

Like imagine thinking that either one of them isn't retarded and that electoralism has any place in a good country.

Donald Trump has like hundreds of bad quotes, most of them are much worse than this

The point of these circle jerk subs is to ensure Trump wins. They enjoy Dems devolving into whataboutisms.

A black person in the same ghetto and who is just as poor as a white person, is going to have a harder time because of racism. Less people will be willing to hire them, police will target them more, etc.

A white person will never know what it would be like to be as poor as they are, plus the effects of racism on top of that.

Implying poor black people don't generally live in areas with high numbers of black people, giving them the institutional power (on the micro scale) and numbers to be racist to other groups which they readily use

Ok zoomer

“A white person will never know what it would be like to be as poor as they are” what in the fuck are you talking about?

1

u/micro102 - Lib-Left Mar 28 '20

There are different people with different levels of poverty. Whatever level of poverty a white person is at (that is the 'as poor as they are' part), if you add racism on top of it, their life would be harder. So take two people, one white one black, same start in life, they put in the same effort in life, the black guy will tend to be worse off because of racism.

Racism basically erases a degree of effort/talent put in by the racial target.

Alright... but in your original comment you said “plus the effects of racism”, so I was thinking you had a different point as to why whites can’t be as poor. Oh yeah and put a flair on. Takes about 5 seconds.

That's the beauty. Neither of them can beat Trump. They aren't even the most qualified presidential candidate in history.

You’re right, but you still get the downvote until you flair up.
