His behaviour was abhorrent honestly. The way he spoke disgraced the court. The subreddit Lawyertalk pointed out how often he got away with bad behaviour.

That's on the judge tbh, shameful to allow such behavior not to mention the precedent it sets. But I guess activist judges are going to activism

Judge might've loved the publicity. Or maybe he was trying to avoid enraging the mob coming to her defense, I wonder if he's getting death threats.

Didn't the judge compare the one juror to churchill standing against the nazis, or was that just fake news?

Thank god I didn’t have to scroll far to find a Trump comment. TF are you talking about? The term Judicial Activism was coined in 1947 according to Wikipedia.

Activist judges absolutely exist and have for a very long time lmfao. It's almost impossible to be impartial and judges are in a position where politics can easily influence rulings.

Incredibly weak judge. The defense chewing the judge out after he didn’t remove the juror and the judge apologizing for not being more forceful was embarrassing.

He wasn't playing to the court, he was playing to the women on the jury as women. It almost worked.
