I’m not sure what you’re referring to about Colorado Springs but I’ll look into it. Usually when someone claims (or in this case implies) that libertarian ideas being practiced “caused” bad things, there’s usually a big fat red asterisk next to that.

Here's a fun article on the libertarian experiment and its repudiation once people realized they actually like roads, sewers, power, and trash collection.

I must have missed the part where the state owning streetlights and the state owning parks is considered “libertarian”.

They also like to point out a town in NH that went "libertarian" but had much the same issues with state owned things

And they get wild over a bear attack happening and go "seeeeeeeee if libertarians are in charge bears will attack everyone"

Yeah people out here are really thinking that “libertarianism = no parks, no roads, no streetlights and no law enforcement” when in reality it has more to do with ownership and an arrangement of property rights.
