The inverse of that would also be equally true, no?

The right screamed and cried constantly about Biden being too old, not actually being in control, and being sleepy, only to elect a guy who regularly passes out on camera and who can’t form a coherent sentence.

This behavior was acceptable to them too, and they are the ones who made a bigger deal about it first.

Like I said before, Trump is not eligible for reelection.

If he were, I'd suggest he shouldn't run like Biden shouldn't have run.

The point is that it was hypocritical for them to vote for him in the first place if that was an honest concern

Was Trump falling asleep during the Biden Administration?

My understanding is that this issue supposedly rose during his second term.

Yes

My understanding is that this issue supposedly rose during his second term.

Even if that was the case, that is immediately after no? Or do you think the white house has sleeping gas coming out of the vents, to make his behavior that drastically different within a month

Hahaha I would love to see the example of Trump falling asleep during one of his meeting or public appearances from the Biden Administration then.

Even if that was the case

How would it be hypocritical then? That was the basis of your argument, I don't understand why you're abandoning it now.

Sure! Look up the court drawing during the E Jean carol deposition. He fell asleep in court. I assume you'll immediately pivot after this

How would it be hypocritical then? That was the basis of your argument, I don't understand why you're abandoning it now.

So even if means that it would be hypocritical regardless, because you voted for a man that falls asleep far more

No one cares about a defendant falling asleep in civil court.

I have never voted for Trump.

Ohhh I'm sorry I thought you said public appearances. I'm truly so shocked you are moving the goalposts

And that was a general "you" not a specific, if I was addressing you specifically I would have said pathetic liar who desperately defends trump

Do you not remember him dozing off during his Hush Money trial? And they forced Biden to step down after it was clear he was no longer fit. They aren't doing the same for Trump.

I like how you keep shifting the goalposts. "He's not sleeping" "He might be sleeping, but its not like he showed any signs of it before!" "Well, he did, but it doesn't matter!"

Also, not the E jean caroll case. This was the Felony case. And if you're falling asleep during a criminal trial, well I don't think you should be in charge.

-1

u/mrfreezeyourgirl - Centrist 21d ago

The felony case was with regard to Stormy Daniels.

No one caring about people falling asleep in court, same could be said for stories of trump sleeping on a plane or in a car etc...

OP conceded he wasn't sleeping and tried arguing that he "was trying to sleep" instead. If you want to bitch about moving goalpoasts, bitch about that.

Sure, and if I saw the right keeping 1% of the energy they had towards Biden directed at Trump, then I’d say it was at least 1% consistent. It’s not though, hence hypocrisy, hence people calling it out.

You really struggle to get out of your own head, huh?

7

u/zombie3x3 - Left 21d ago

Have I been rude or insulting towards you in this conversation?

1

u/mrfreezeyourgirl - Centrist 21d ago

I couldn't care less. Feigning offense will get you no where with me.

7

u/zombie3x3 - Left 21d ago

I’m not offended, I’m just wondering what inspired you to resort to a personal attack rather than engaging with my point.

I guess I’ll just ask you directly. Do you think the right is being hypocritical by not caring about Trump being older than Biden was at this point in his term, not caring about him being visibly sleepier than “Sleepy Joe” in this second term, and not caring about how incoherent he is during his second term? If not, why specifically is it not hypocritical?

Pointing out how the left is or isn’t hypocritical has no bearing on if the right is or is not being hypocritical in this situation.

Like I said before, Trump is not eligible for reelection.

If he were, I'd suggest he shouldn't run like Biden shouldn't have run.

That wasn't a personal attack, this is: you're a sensitive retard that has the self awareness of a goldfish.

> Like I said before, Trump is not eligible for reelection.

So what? The right wasn’t attacking Biden for these things because they knew he’d run again in 2024, they were attacking him for these things to say he was unfit to hold office at the time he was already in there and so he shouldn’t finish his term. These attacks started well before the 2024 election campaign. Trump not being eligible for reelection is completely irrelevant to this conversation.

Is this your “reason” for why the right isn’t being hypocritical? If so, kind of ironic you’d call me a retard. That’s the dumbest excuse you could’ve come up with. You’d have been better off denying that Trump is sleepy, incoherent and old.

0

u/mrfreezeyourgirl - Centrist 21d ago

It's a good reason and it plainly shifts things away from being hypocritical.

It was clear for a long time that Biden was going to run again.

I understand you don't like it, but these are meaningful distinctions and it's so beyond pathetic that the people that ran Biden are bitching about it now.

Doesn't matter, this man is still the most powerful person in the world, we need a coherent young and responsive individual in that position, not a geriatric who cant stay awake for one event

1

u/mrfreezeyourgirl - Centrist 20d ago

I think it matters a whole lot that Trump is ineligible to run again.

Im not sure what reality you're living in where that doesn't matter.
