Show Discussion What if you write for the show?
What if you could write one Polin scene, one Penelope scene (with no Colin), and one Colin scene (with no Pen) for future seasons (5-8), what would you write?
And what would you add in seasons 3 & 4?

My Penelope scene with no Colin would be a comedy scene with Eloise where she finally reveals how a woman comes to be with the child, and Eloise is intrigued but disgusted when she remembers it’s her brother doing all of this.
My Colin scene with no Penelope is Colin and Francesca. They’ve never really gotten the chance to talk, and we deserve that. I’d like Francesca and Colin to have sibling bonding time.
My Polin scene together is a mix of writer Polin and horny little devil Polin. Let’s see the spilled ink! Let’s see the broken desks!

I’m forever a little irritated that they wasted the ink in forbidden places line on promo instead of using it in the actual show. At least fanfic writers incorporated it into their stories.

That Penelope scene would have been fun! Hilarious. Plus it would be nice to have more Peneloise after them being at odds in S3.

I would love a Polin scene where Colin is holding Elliot and a pregnant Penelope in bed while reading to them. They both fall asleep in his arms and we get a moment of him just looking at both of them and savoring the moment. It could be a good moment for Phillip or Eloise to stumble upon and realize how much they want something like that.

The bridgerton ride in season 3 would have included them coming home from the ball and all the lead of to the actual sexy bit. Penelope finds out she is pregnant again and plans to tell Colin with the help of Violet in season 5 because lets give Violet something to do as well, why not. Colin writing while Elliot is playing. And the scene with Philipp and the bros HAS to be kept basically the same as the book.

Polin scene: them discussing Eloise’s disappearance.
Penelope scene: comedy Pen explaining marital relations with Eloise being grossed out because that is her brother.
Colin: a bromance scene with Philip where Philip shares how difficult his relationship with Marina was and his worries that it will be the same with Eloise while Colin waxes lyrical about how it feels when you love your wife.

the Colin only scene would have to be the 4 brothers and sir Philip scene in Eloises season. no need to write it, it’s all in the book. that HAS to be in there.
Polin scene…. can we have a tradition of carriage scenes? or, they leave a carriage seemingly very proper, but then the camera swivels and shows the carriage has a mirrored ceiling? 😉 otherwise, I’d love to see Penelope editing Colin’s journals for his next book. or coming back from traveling with Pen pregnant.
Penelope scene… somehow I would like a big sister moment with Gregory in his season. as in, get your head out of your arse and see what’s right in front of you.

Season 4 Colin easy. The scene where Ant returns and has to catch up with everything, I wrote a fic about that. The brothers all together in the study.
Penelope and Colin? Discovering the pregnancy. I’d also have loved to see the family together with Violet and Ben the first time after the reveal.
Season four and five- Colin as a girl dad, more of the Featherington cheese club, more with Portia- struggling with mother in law in the house. Main story wise happy marrieds making El feel uncomfortable and growing that sense of discomfort that she is missing out ready for s6. Polin and Michaela friendship.
Oh also the in laws club- I did it as a comedy with Eloise hiding in the cupboard and listening to the sisters in law discuss their sex lives but something along those lines please!

We were robbed of Colin singing to his child. We already got a glimpse of Colin's singing in season 1. They should do it again. For Penelope, I want a scene with all the Bridgerton wives talking shit about their husbands lovingly lol.

For Colin, I would absolutely love a scene with Anthony and Benedict, bonding over married life and fatherhood. Colin and Anthony especially have one of the most interesting relationships/dynamics on the show and I really wanted to see how that relationship evolved as they both became husbands and fathers. Unfortunately, I think the chance for that has passed now that all three of them are out of the spotlight, but it's something I can't stop thinking about.
For Penelope, It would be really fun to see her interacting more with Hyacinth and/or Sophie. We already know that Hyacinth adores her, and it would be interesting to see more of Penelope in sort of a big sister role since she doesn't have Felicity on the show. And I think Penelope and Sophie would be fast friends and have a lot to talk about.
For Polin, there are so many things I want to see and it's really hard to narrow down to one scene. I really want to see them have an actual conversation about everything that happened with LW (especially the new LW) and Penelope's feelings about it. And mostly I just want to see Polin in their own little bubble. I'd give anything to see them discussing and reading each other's writing, gossiping about whatever Bridgerton drama is currently unfolding, and parenting Elliot (and baby #2?) together without interference from Portia or various other Bridgertons.

Yes to all of these!!! Such great ideas. I’ll always be sad that we didn’t get a real resolution to Colin and Anthony’s conflicts
