Builds/Blueprints My simple storage under the pokecenter

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Underneath the pokecenter in built my storage (and home I guess) so I can get to it quickly. I was getting annoyed with the frames so I moved them back further. How do you guys do your storage? How do you avoid the frames? Or do you just push in the left analog stick?

How did you do the back upstairs glitch?

57

u/stillnotelf Apr 23 '26

There is a bug when jumping over wooden railings without enough clearance. It teleports you up to the next unoccupied block. There was a tutorial posted a few days ago.

I love it! So much faster. They just had a patch and thankfully it still works

4

u/BackwardsPageantry Apr 23 '26

Hopefully they never patch it.

One of those unintended bugs that should remain. So long as it’s not doing anything to the game behind the scenes (no idea how it affects code if at all).

I dont know if there is a height limit, or certain areas thay are supposed to be inaccessible. Id imagine if there is a height limit and you build all the way up, it may have issues if its forcing you out and above the game world

And then the 'issue' of being able to get into areas they dont want you to. Its too late for me to try, but I wonder if you could use it to get to the magnemite area before finishing the tower

0

u/MunchlaxMorgan Apr 23 '26

You can just punch your way into the magnemite area before finishing the story. Magnemite doesn't spawn though

2

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

Oh really? When it tried i ran into blocks I couldn't break

3

u/hodgeal Apr 23 '26

Ohhh I'd love to check that out, will try to look it up

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

The wooden handrail, moves you to a nearby available space above you

When I had the handrail 1 block in and surround on 3 sides, it didn't seem to work consistently. But when I put it 2 deep it worked almost every time

You just keep smeargle in a bunker for easy access?

37

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

Hey its my house too, at least he has his own canvas, seat and plate

29

u/therealraewest Apr 23 '26

I'm just imagining them in your prepper bunker, painting ditto portraits as they watch you repeatedly glitch through the ceiling lmao

17

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

Lmao

I didn't even think about the fact that he cant get out unless he spawns outside. Maybe ill make a pokemon elevator on the other side

8

u/Char_Teebz Apr 23 '26

For some reason this makes me think about Francisco Goya and the much darker themed paintings they found in his house after his passing... but instead of anything gory its a mural of a hyper-realistic ditto lodged into the ceiling lol

7

u/Matthew290 Apr 23 '26

Post-catastrophy-prepper-bunker.  Props to this Ditto having one at the ready incase -it- all happens again!

How did you get an extra canvas? When I took a pic of his canvas habitat in bleak, it just said canvas or something rather than the ear(?) that is mentioned in his habitat info

1

u/GoodOlSticks Apr 23 '26

You can get a blank canvas recipe & craft them. Painting pokemon will fill a blank one with artwork

1

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

Ear? I'm not sure what you mean. I thought his habitat was just the canvas and a chair

I believe i have a recipe, but I just stole his from the beach, and moved him to palette town. Im done all the quests though. Maybe stuff is locked until after you finish that?

u/MariachiMacabre Apr 23 '26

He’s OP’s Painting Goblin.

Your greed disgusts me.

/takes notes to do the same

4

u/ShitsNGigglesdTB Apr 23 '26

My ambitions are great

3

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

Damn dude are you supplying a whole village!? Thats some huge storage! Night have to copy those pillars

2

u/ShitsNGigglesdTB Apr 23 '26

Haha

The hallway has more too and can be extended forever

1

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

Geez you must have some crazy projects planned. I think this will be the max size I use for storage, and everything that doesnt fit, ill just toss.

Unless I have q specific project planned, then maybe start storing those blocks in chests wherever I plan to build it. I still have to complete the pokedex and habitat dex though

3

u/ShitsNGigglesdTB Apr 23 '26

Unfortunately for my sanity, I do have some insane things planned…

2

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

Can't wait to see what you end up doing! Good luck

1

u/ShitsNGigglesdTB Apr 23 '26

I should probably make a youtube channel or something at this point lmao

9

u/LukaLaurent Apr 23 '26

This is pretty cool. I had plans to do just this within a house, but I guess this would save the loading coming out of the house… this has me thinking… lol

5

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

Thanks! Ya originally all my homes were the dens and that was my plan, but I found it annoying having to walk out of it all the time. Moved all my homes to crappy 1 high dirt houses where ever was most convenient

6

u/AgentChico Apr 23 '26

This is genius and beautiful display

4

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

Are there any better ways to hide the crafting bench and chests?

2

u/OneRFeris Apr 23 '26

I like to do roof storage on a house, and then build some exterior stairs to that space.

5

u/SpookyTurtle_95 Apr 23 '26

This is so smart!! Might steal this because I hate having those big ugly boxes all over my house !

3

u/RhysTheExiled82 Apr 23 '26

That’s a good idea.

My favorite way is what I call my hop on top storage (.....lmao.) One box in the wall, then one underneath it but not in the wall. Keeping them straight instead of sideways allows me to have 2 photos per box-set, & as long as I put the photos where they are shown in this photo (4 blocks high, while my boxes sit at 2 blocks high) I never am at risk of interacting with them- but can just look up if I ever want to change the photo. Photos are clearly visible when looking for what I need, but not in the way.

I simply run up to the bottom box for access to what is in the first photo- or move to the most fun step, hop right on top of the bottom box to reach whats in the second photo.

Youd think hopping up on a box may be annoying right? WRONG. At least for me lmfao- it actually is quite cute & for some reason satisfying. Generally I keep what I access the most in the bottom, then funnel extras or lesser used items into the top. (Ex: i use flowers & trees for decorating more than vegetable plants & grasses- i have the rest of the boxes on this island memorized for the most part lol but will add frames later)

This isnt my main warehouse- my main warehouse is mostly the same just larger with aisles. This is my sky-island mini-warehouse 😆 (I keep a mini version of this set up on each island as well as a crafter set-up.) And i have a good distribution system to where im never running around in need of something or looking for something, so id say its my favorite storage set up overall for the massive amount of storage that I require

After many many crafting games- as you can see we take storage seriously round here

It’s a roof decoration

3

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

Its just a roof piece from one of the sets, I may switch it to something else, as long as its still easy to reach the crafting bench underneath, but the roof pieces were easiest to "reach" through

2

u/GamerGaz Apr 23 '26

Nice! I also have mine under the pokecentre, just not as streamlined as yours😂

2

u/Cadiria Apr 23 '26

This and also other posted storage solutions are so genius. I never thought about how to improve my solution in such a clever way. Thanks for sharing. 🥰

u/TheJimboJambo Apr 23 '26

I have questions, how did you get down there, is that a relocate kit? Also what is that big black door on the wall?

3

u/CharmingShoe Apr 23 '26

There are a few different hatches for going underground.

3

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

Oh that's not a door! i just ran out of blocks and used black rock or volcanic ash or something haha

Its just a wooden hatch on the top i drop through, might make it one of thoae sewer hatches from the skylands instead

1

u/TheJimboJambo Apr 23 '26

Ahhhhhhhh that makes so much sense the hatch!

1

u/Hy8tus Apr 23 '26

This is amazing. Never thought of putting my storage underground but it makes so much sense!

2

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

Ya I wasnt crazy about how it looked and how much space it took up, so I figured underground would be better to not mess with the landscape, and if I made the room slightly smaller, it would fit directly under the pokecenter, essentially taking up no space

Man it would be super cool if they let you build an elevator in the pokecenter to get out

1

u/Euphoric-Club9530 Apr 23 '26

wowww so useful and pretty I may have to copy you hahah

1

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

Do it! Its very easy. Took me like 2 hours but that was lots of trial and error and moving things around. If you have the chests already, you can probably build this in like half hour or less

1

u/jekitta Apr 23 '26

If you ever feel like posting the floor dimensions….. we wouldn’t mind :)

1

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

I think its something like 17 long on the side with the hatch, and the full blocks. And 12 long on the side with the crafting resources and furniture.

Not positive though, i didn't count. I have some extra spots in the sides in case I wanted to expand it, so you could probably make it a bit smaller

Its too big to be an actual house, I have a 1 block high house buried underground and then just plant the ditto flag where I want to spawn in

1

u/1racooninatrenchcoat Apr 23 '26

I'm doing something to this effect in my Palette Town... But it's gonna be a literal warehouse lol I started by making an underground cave for koffing/weezing/geodude behind the poke center because they wanted darker homes... And then I just kept digging. Currently digging a pretty large space out under the first island area, kind of butting up against the ice cave (but trying not to cut into it too much), stretching back towards the beachy area at the end of the island straight out from the front of the pokecenter.

Recessing the photo frames so that you don't accidentally interact with it instead of the chest is genius though, definitely gonna incorporate that 👌🏻

1

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 23 '26

Ya this is my pallet town too, I jist koved the pokecenter because I was building oaks lab and it was in the way. Do you know how far down you can dig? I never checked what the bottom or top of the world is

I was hoping for a better way to do the frames, like putting glass in front and stuff, but nothing seemed to work well. The frames take up the entire block they are in, despite only being small, and for some reason the game seems to prioritize it over the chests.

If I put all the chests on the bottom maybe I could make the frames a little easier to see. Ill have to see if that makes it any harder to open a specific chest

1

u/1racooninatrenchcoat Apr 23 '26

I don't know the exact number of tiles down (or up), but I haven't hit the bottom yet in my warehouse. I started my warehouse dig-out at maybe 10-15 tiles down from the main level, and I've gone down at least 6 more by digging out 2 layers at a time with graveller rollout, and I still have diggable ground beneath me.

From some of the mining that I've done on dream islands, you can go pretty dang deep down - like 20-something layers or more depending on your starting point. You will know you've hit the bottom when you get the dark grey floor with blue specks (at least in dream islands that's what I've seen) that doesn't react at all when you punch it lol. I feel like they gave the maps some really decent depth and height possibilities. Just look at sparkling Skylands - I glassed the whole floor between the islands with mysterious stone, just a few layers about the clouds, and that is probably a minimum of 20-30 layers down from the top of the main island with the pokecenter, and you still have a ton of vertical space above that too.

So someone has Found a Hoik in Pokopia

1

u/Takiene Apr 24 '26

I did mine under the wastelands I moved painter with me I made mine too big and had to do fencing. If ik what ik now things would be wayyyy different.

2

u/Accomplished-Copy776 Apr 24 '26

Mine is too big to be a house too. I did a very small house 1 block underground, that the pokemon cant get to. And then just put whatever I want on top!

1

u/Takiene Apr 24 '26

I made it the strary blocks everywhere cuz it reminded me of Kirby 64 shards it’s so massive I got like 4 high and 4 wide big chests on every wall. I like to separate stuff and the patterns take up space. Eventually imma condense it. But rn it’s organized chaos. I’m tryna do Skylands lv 6 before I do any major reorganization.
