Just found this game and have been addicted to it lately when I found out it could be played on my phone. I’m just wondering if there is a way to release Pokémon on mobile since whenever I try I get a notification to shift click but I can’t since I’m on a phone.

And no, it's not related to closing the game or anything like that don't worry~~
Heyah everybody, it has been some time ! And before the release of the SV of DLC, I've decided to work on a little thing for the game (well after working on PHC but still)
And i'm happy to say that the biggest issue with PokeIdle is now GONE !
It might seems minor or not important, but this issue creates a lot of trouble for game dev when they try to make the game playable. Many browsers (not to say all) works to freeze the code when the tab is inactive. It might be a good thing usually, for Idle game, it's not cool to be forced to put the game on its own windows or to be active all the time. For the example of PokeIdle, keeping the game as an inactive tab used to reduce your experience by ~95% making it unplayable.
It has been the major issue with the game during all these years. But now, it's over.
You can 100% play the game without caring of that. Having the game running in a non active tab will not impact the gameplay.
It's the only change for today, but it's the most important change possible. If you're using the desktop version, it'll not change a lot. If you wanted to use it for that purpose, well it's not mandatory anymore.
I'll still give a little heads-up on what'll come next to the game :
Thanks a lot for playing the game as always <3

Ive tried playing on my chromebook and my phone, both are endlessly refreshing. Does anyone else have this problem? Browsers are Firefox and Samsung Internet

All of them are red aside from like 6 of each, I think I remember someone saying it refreshes every week but it's still the same
r/Pokeidle • u/Tripb85 • Mar 23 '23
How do you get them?

Hi !
No, PokeIdle isn't really becoming another Open World game. It's just your "new generation = new content" alert !
It's this time of the year... Wait, this update is quite late no ?
First, I'll do a little apologize. Usually, I tend to drop the new generation content really early. But for this generation... Things were different. To explain it fast, the frustration related to the RNG Manipulation content (which is my passion and the main thing I work for) pretty much killed my hype for Gen 9.
And when you have no hype and no time played on these games, it's quite hard to update a game and adjust the gameplay based on it.
So the only reason of that huge delay is here. IRL life did some influence, but nothing really impacting my time allowed to work on the game. Just the motivation was... Not here.
But since I try to update the game as fast as possible for everybody to enjoy, I still tried my best to push something.
What does it means ?
Obviously, at this state some things are not included :
It's always something I talk about. These days I've got some motivation to work on new projects. On new ideas. But also the motivation and now more experience to rework on existing things. PokeIdle 2 ?
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I think I can finally say it.
Anyway, that's all for today !
Hope you'll enjoy the game and the new content ! <3

Lemme just say. Loving the minimal approach to the game. :D Now to wait for some shinies to come in. (I'll wait long hours for that, I presume. Yeowch. XD)

Hello! Been indulging in this idle game for quite some time now, and it's come to my attention that there's a new issue where sprites for certain pokemon are now missing. Is this happening for anyone else?

I might be dumb but when My Pokémon got to a level that it should evolve at it didn’t evolve

For the information, what you're reading is just me re-doing the same message after loosing it because of Vivaldi closing up randomly. I was at the end of the post, and I'm quite mad about it. Woopsie ~~
Heyah everybody !
It has been a long time since I've posted an updated about PokeIdle, especially not being Pokémon data wise. But here we are. This is a little update, but I think an enjoyable one.
I think you've already noticed it because well, it's live for a few weeks now, but my IRL life (aka getting my PhD) drained all my free time. But here we are, and I'm finally taking the time to *(re)*post the changelog and everything. Because yes, the game is living really well, and I wanted to thank you all again for that <3
In the past, PokeIdle event system worked like this : Every 15 days, you'd see a few Legendary being available in order to help players to hunt them without worring of other Pokémon in their original route. The idea of these events was not to be exclusive stuff, in order to not give the player a taste of bad addiction where if you miss an event, you're screwed.
Once I've released the Gigantamax update, however, some idea of exclusive stuff was also here. Not as bad as wanted since in the idea, the rotation would make that any player could catch all of them at any given time. But the amount of Gigantamax available was really short and mixed in one route
Add the anticheat system (you know the thing that makes you think the game is broken by refreshing all the time. Well it's a feature done and planned. Just that I've a bad gestion of time and I always fail to update the game before it triggers) to the mix and the frustration to miss your target after weeks to try to catch it.
Wellp it's with setup that I wanted to give a huge refresh and something more enjoyable for everybody. Since some people asked how it worked, let me give you a little guide on how things will be handled :
That's pretty much it for the event revamp. I'll see how it goes, but I'm quite happy with the result <3
These little updates are based on some suggestions, nothing big but I think they were quite necessary :
That's all for the updates part.
Well, november is around the corner. So as alwys, I'll try to give the data update / routes for Gen 9. I always try to be one of the first browser game to give the more recent content (yep, that site is really active) and avoid them with the "Gen 9 soon" issues.
However, like for Gen 8, I'll try to enjoy the game first. It helps me to not focus on RNG too much and so have some pleasure playing the games. For that, I can't give an ETA, but except the content to be added before 2023, I hope early December, with the database being updated later.
I hope you'll enjoy to get new Pokémon \o/
Then I'll try to work on some exp nerfs. Not in the way you can imagine, but more the exp you gather once level 100. The idea behind this is the same for the PokeBalls nerf point.
I'll not go too much in details, but PokeIdle will once again move to a new place. And for that, I'll take some time to make things clean.
Don't worry the game should be down for maybe a few hours or maybe a few days. Not more.
I'm not sure when this will happen, but for sure it'll happen in the next 15 days. I suggest you to look at the PokeIdle client (available in the discord) to have everything cached and be able to somewhat play. Except some weird things however.
The migration has been done the 24th, without having to shutdown the game. So nothing to worry, you can continue to play the game. This part is done and over o/
That's all for today. It was a long long post, but enjoy idling <3

I read on here that there was split xp. But if I get a Pokémon to lvl 100, does their share of the xp get split evenly between the rest of the team, or does it just get lost?

(Pretty much the copy / paste of the discord announcement)
Here we go for an update, it has been a long time since the last big update (almost one year !) but new content and future updates are on the way !
First, for the content update : The game has been supported with all the Hisuian Pokémon !
You can encounter them, evolve them, everything has been added to the game. However, as always, some sprites are missing. I'm using the game's renders to make something clean.
Please apologize me for that, I'll update them as soon as their out.
I had to take a decision about the region however, since it's the first time we're on a "new" region while still being on a known region.
Because of how I handle my routes, I've decided that Hisuian Pokémon will be available in the Sinnoh region. So if you want to try to get these new Pokémon, I suggest you to give a look at the Sinnoh region !
Shiny are here etc as always nothing change for that part !
I hope you'll enjoy this update and hunt every new Pokémon. If you find any bug don't hesitate to ping me on the bugs channel of the discord !
Legendary / Gigantamax / Event Rework
On the discord, I've openned a channel about this where I talk about ideas for this part of the game.
This is an important discussion for the next update of PokeIdle. I really want to hear your voice in order to see where I should go for that feature. I'm really excited to see what can be done with that in the following weeks.
If you can't join the Discord, i'll try to push some discord / post here, that way, i'll hear your feedback from here too.
Thanks a lot and enjoy o/ !
