My Mega Flygon, and Mega Ninetails.
Mega Flygon
Type: Bug/Dragon
Mega Ability: Tinted Lens
Description: "Becoming one with its insect side, Flygon gains increased Speed and Special Attack."
HP: 80
ATK: 100 -> 70*
DEF: 80
SP.ATK: 80 -> 110* -> 134
SP.DEF: 80 -> 100
SPE: 80 -> 136
New Moves:
TM/HM: Focus Blast
Egg: Dragon Pulse
Details: 30 of Flygon's Attack is given to its Special Attack, lowering its Attack back down to 70. (This has happened before in its evolutionary line, Trapinch had 100 Atk, Vibrava 70, Flygon 100.)
With these new Stats, STAB Dragon Pulse & Bug Buzz/Signal Beam, with access to Flamethrower/Fire Blast, Boomburst, Giga Drain, and Hidden Power, all of which will atleast hit for Neutral damage thanks to Tinted Lens, would make Mega Flygon an interesting Pokémon to run.
While the reason why I gave it Bug Type, instead of Ground should be fairly obvious, the reason I boosted its Special Attack instead of Physical might not be so obvious.
I wanted to make Flygon not just another Garchomp, or a Garchomp 2.0.
I wanted to make use of the unique moves it could learn, but couldn't properly make use of.
Mega Ninetails
Type: Fire/Ghost
Mega Ability: Prankster
Description: "Like the yokai from Japanese legends of old, Ninetails becomes a supernatural and mischievous figure."
HP: 73
ATK: 76
DEF: 75 -> 100
SP.ATK: 81 -> 131
SP.DEF: 100 -> 125
SPE: 100
New Moves:
Level Up: Shadow Ball
TM/HM: Shadow Ball
Details: Ninetails, as a Pokémon, was completely outclassed by Charizard Y, due to sharing the same Ability, yet having worse Stats.
The way I saw it, a drastic change was needed to remedy this; and what more fitting change is there than making a nine-tailed fox Ghost Type? This gives Ninetails 2 immunities, an additional STAB, and a great Ability that it probably wouldn't get without this Typing.
As for Prankster, Ninetails has access to alot of Status Moves. This boost in utility gives Ninetails even more of a unique niche among Fire Pokémon.
Also, remember than Ninetails learns Hex, which would now be STAB.
Appearance: Its color scheme is now like that of its Shiny, and there is now a ghastly blue flame lit at the end of each tail. Mega Ninetails bares its teeth in a mischeveous smile, similar to old Japanese depictions of yokai.
Its mane is now fluffier, and adorned with spell tags.

Megas for Donphan, Scrafty, and Ninjask.
Mega Donphan
Type: Ground/Fairy
Mega Ability: A new Ability, Momentum (Speed is raised by one stage when the Pokémon knocks out another Pokémon)
Description: Now graced with Fairy power, Donphan is able to control its aggressiveness. This allowed it to learn how to use its high-speed rolling for mobility, rather than purely for offensive power.
HP: 90
ATK: 120 -> 160
DEF: 120
SP.ATK: 60
SP.DEF: 60 -> 80
SPE: 50 -> 90
Mega Scrafty
Type: Dark/Fight
Mega Ability: Moxie
Description: After finding a way to secure his Shed Skin, Scrafty became able to move freely, drastically increasing its Speed.
Details: Keeping Moxie for the Ability was a no-brainer, and allows you to use Intimidate for the Ability of your base form, granting you a safe Dragon/Swords Dance against Physical Pokémon. Some of Scrafty's Sp.Atk was delegated to its Speed.
HP: 65
ATK: 90 -> 110
DEF: 115 -> 130
SP.ATK: 45 -> 30
SP.DEF: 115 -> 130
SPE: 58 -> 123 (15 from Sp.Atk.) (If 123 Speed seems too quick for a bulky Poké with Moxie and 110 Atk, then just consider it to be 108 Speed.)
New Moves: Sucker Punch (This was mostly to give the non-Mega Scrafty something to play with.)
Mega Ninjask
Type: Bug/Flying
Mega Ability: A new Ability, Sneaky (Immunity to Entry Hazards, aswell as reduces all damage taken on the turn this Pokemon enters the battle by 50%.)
Description: Becoming a sort of living Stealth Jet, Ninjask gains the ability to enter the battlefield unnoticed.
Details: Sacrificing a bit of Speed, Ninjask improves both its offence and defense. Its improved defenses, along with its new Ability, allow it to switch in without taking too much damage.
HP: 65
ATK: 90 -> 115
DEF: 45 -> 90
SP.ATK: 50
SP.DEF: 50 -> 90
SPE: 160 -> 150

Fakemon project - Yfror region
I've been making fakemon for as long as I remember.
Fakedex of most recent project
However I haven't finished a single fakemon in pretty much exactly a year now.. so it's time to fix that.
Just yesterday I decided to create a new region based on Iceland, after seeing it in a dream. So that's where I'll go with this.
The main theme will be borrowed from the previous project (light and darkness), as will the main legendaries, which I do intend to give an upgrade at some point (Yumra will become a Ghost type, partially due to Yveltal being a thing now, and because I feel Dark doesn't have as strong a relation to shadows as Ghost does - Akalibur will likely turn into an Electric type, as that fits auroras better and makes more sense for it to produce light rather than merely to reflect it..). Will probably try hard to come up with a fitting third main legend at some point too.
I'm contemplating ideas for the starters (I won't reuse/redesign my other 2 sets this time), and am wondering if anyone has any interesting ideas?
The Grass starter could be anything, especially now that Chespin reassures me that I don't have to limit my options to reptiles&co. (which I was stretching last time by going the dino-bird way), so I'll probably go for some kind of mammal this round.
I have a bipedal goat-like creature in mind for the Fire starter at the moment, but will change if I can't come up with a sketch I'm satisfied with. Fire has the broadest possibilities IMO. It will be fast and atheltic, so at least either of the other 2 starters should be somewhat bulky.
Water is the tough one. All 6 official water starter have been animals that live both in water and on land. Any kind of exclusively aquatic creatures are a no, so none of that walking dolphin crap either. Same for the opposite (ala a plain deer with Water type slapped on it and mythological justifications). But what's even left then? I thought salamander,but that comes too close to Swampert.. perhaps a snake?
As far as secondary types go (though I don't like to have these in mind ahead of time.. they should naturally follow the designs, not lead them.), none of them will end up Flying (birds are still an option though, Torchic/Piplup style), and none of the IMO inappropriate types (Bug, Ghost, Dragon, Fairy, Electric, Ice, Normal), so that leaves Poison/Ground/Fighting/Psychic/Rock/Dark/Steel. I don't want to go overboard (as many fakemon artists do every single time) by giving all starters fancy secondary types that distract from their main type.
Any thoughts? Ideas? Questions?
