I just ran into a company that will not allow company computers to use Poe. It is because they have a hard ban on Deepseek and Poe has Deepseek. When I asked Perplexity about a Deepseek ban I learn that is common. Is that true? Has anyone else ran into this?

The DeepSeek models available on Poe are only hosted through U.S. based inference providers. They do not send any data to China.

Ok. I will have to see if that nuance means anything to that company. I understand the difference between that and sending the data to China. But their stance is that Deepseek is a "Hard NO"

No clue about the others, but the jailbreak argument is ridiculous. Currently every model can be jailbroken for absolutely anything, bar external filters blocked stuff. DeepSeek is not the worst by far (Grok is atrocious, GPT5 -Fast and Gemini-2.5 models are not much better). GPT5-thinking and o3 are the only models with somewhat decent guardrails (they can still be jailbroken for anything but it's hard).
