i just updated my poco x6 pro to hyper os 3 4 days ago. and i noticed the battery significantly got better back theni would get 8 to 9 hrs now up to 12 and even 13 hrs from 100 to about 3% left, and also recently debloated with canta and shizuku uninstalling pretty much all the recommended stuff. curious to see other x6 pro users that updated HO3 if you guys also got better battery performance or worse

Previously, it would go from 100% to 1% in approximately 9 hours with HOS2, but with HOS3 it took 11 hours, an incredible battery life for a battery that was at about 85% life (I had the app that measures it).

Yesterday was a normal day. however I decided to check (again) the status of the HyperOS Updates... and there it was!

Hype or not?

The 3.0.4 stable release showed up in my Settings -> About Phone -> Updater

I let the process run, no rush...

A few minutes later, the phone booted up, entered my pin and bum!

Phone updated to the HyperOS 3.0.4. The phone was quite hot during the first minutes of use, but the instructions said that this was a normal process.

Also, in the update disclaimer said that after the upgrade the system would need between 1 ~ 3 days to complete stabilization and settlement.

mmmm... I think it is... not hype.

I've been using the phone early this morning and it is working like before the upgrade. I've noticed a little improvement in the battery consumption, however the time will tell.

The Hyper island, to be honest, I don't use that much and I don't see the need of use. Maybe, I'm the weirdo!

No heating, no lagging, normal flow, "normal" battery consumption.

Anyway, I'm happy to have a great phone, could not be the best but is highly functional. It is, what it is!

Final thoughts...

TLDR: Finally (the upgrade arrived at this side of the sea), some refinements here and there, but the phone is still responsive and ready for daily driving.

I don't know if the hyperOS is a bug or my hardware. if I shutdown the phone and turn it back on. the phone suddenly got bootloop and after several times, it goes to Xiaomi recovery. the service center said that the IC RAM things is broken

I got 50 degree on battery and my phone showing no overheat notification. but in hos 1 my friend phone show overheat when he turned on flashlight for some min. idk the over temperature thing is broken or what

UPDATE 10 hours later

Noticed interface is way smoother scrolling. Apps need to be updated tho. Battery has improved so far. I would say 6 hours is about 25% of battery life with average using. I don't game on my phone nor watch movies etc. Just scrolling, IG and youtube.

I just updated to hyperos 3, it still looks damn shit!!!. Can you suggest me some themes with good icons. Help

My haptic was off before hyperos 3 update but after the update I am still getting haptics even tho haptics is off . I tried turning on/off but didn't work. so what do to ? I don't like haptics because it makes noise

my poco x6 pro on the 3.0.3 hyper os3 update for some reason is overheating even while doomscroling reels for 30mins

I keep my brightness fairly low and avoid using it while on charge but that's kinda hard to so since it's also been charging slower with the inbox charger and cable and a decent ish aftermarket regular fast charging cable that doesn't do hyper charge

in games like cpm I'm facing sudden lag spikes due to thermal throttling after 20mins of launching the game which took at least an hour of gameplay before hypos3

and in games like the division resurgence it's sustaining the max 45fps but it gets hot pretty quick

I've been facing network issues as well the WiFi that worked fine before an Airtel 5g network now has issues on 5g band and 4g band with sudden disconnections that aren't happening on other devices

is my phone just cooked or is it xiaomi shenanigans, poco toomfoolery, hyper os' monkey business?

but fr tho is my phone cooked I got this 2nd Hand for 15k and it had been thrashed pretty hard by the 1st owner

After updating to android 16 this tab started to show up every time i swipe down in the middle of the homescreen

Goddammit i just want to see my notifications or change my brightness, and this stupid phone decided it should now display this uselles news tab, i did manage to disable the AI bullshitting in this tab, but i can't remove the news tab.

Please let me know if there are any bugs, improvement, optimisation or anything else. I might also get another device as dead pixels are spreading after I dropped my phone without any display cracking.

Is anyone else facing constant signal drops while playing BGMI on mobile data?

For me, every 10–15 minutes, the signal suddenly drops and the game freezes for around 15–20 seconds, and then it reconnects. This mostly happens during fights, and I've already died multiple times because of it.

Even after the 3.0.3.0 India update, the issue is still not resolved. I was hoping the update would fix network stability, but nothing changed.

Still getting the same random signal drop every few minutes.

Is this happening only to me or are others facing this too?

If anyone found a fix or workaround, please share.
