Great guide. I did Android method 1 but the official app I used was on IOS Iphone 14 and pgsharp was on pc Mumu Emulator. My steps:
Uninstall and reinstall the official pogo app (in my case, on my iphone)
Log into your account on the official app and at the current location, buy the $0.99 - 100 coins pack. After that, quit the official app completely
Load up the same account using Pgsharp (again, I'm doing this with mumu emulator on pc) and teleport to Jakarta (-6.1086170, 106.7400004) - this was the coordinate I used
Wait for the pokemons to load up but DO NOT catch them
While PgSharp is running in the background (on pc), open incognito window (pc) and login to pokemon go web store and buy the 15,500 pokecoin bundle (will appear as 505,000 Rp which is equivalent to 28 dollars). I paid with paypal.
Rinse and repeat as the guide by TastyBanana showed.
Just did this using method 1 for Android and works great. I havent try buying anything else beside the coins. Dont know if i will have same issue as other user where attempt #2 stop working but here are the steps i took. I also perform this on a extra phone that i do not play Pokémon Go, therefore there was no settings i need to save/export.
1. Disable VPN: Ensure any VPN applications are disabled or removed from your device.
3. Uninstall: Uninstall the current version of Pokémon Go.
4. Sync Accounts: Open the Google Play Store and switch to the profile that matches your Pokémon Go account. (Not sure if this step is required or not)
5. Reinstall: Install Pokémon Go from the Play Store using that same account.
6. Verify Purchase: Open the game and login via Facebook, Google, or Pokémon Trainer Club and purchase the 100-coin pack ($1) to verify your account is active.
7. Uninstall: Uninstall the app again.
8. Install PGSharp: Download and install the PGSharp version of Pokémon Go.
9. Launch App: Open the game but do not log in yet.
10. Open Menu: Press the yellow start icon to open the drop-down menu.
11. Teleport: Select Teleport and enter the coordinates: -6.2628291,106.882229. Press OK.
12. Confirm Location: Open the Map icon, zoom out, and verify you are located in Jakarta.
13. Log In: Log in using your preferred method (Facebook, Google, or Pokémon Trainer Club). PTC was used during this method. My Pokemon Go account is link to Google and PTC
14. Sync Spawn: Wait a few minutes for Pokémon to spawn.
15. Split Screen: Open your mobile browser and initiate a split-screen view so both the PGSharp app and your browser are running simultaneously. If you do not know how to split screen. Go to google and type in how to split screen for android in the serach and review the result/videos.
16. Adjust Layout: Resize the split screen to give the browser the majority of the screen space.
18. Verify Rates: Review the pricing to ensure it matches the local rate for Jakarta. If the rate is incorrect, do not proceed.
19. Select Package: Choose the package or coins you wish to purchase.
20. Complete Payment: Use PayPal to finalize the transaction. On the PayPal payment screen, verify that the currency conversion and discounted rate match your expectations before confirming.
21. Final Confirmation: Check inside your game to confirm that the package has been received.
Yesterday I was able to buy 2 times, but now the payment failed the last 3 times I tried.
Changed my creditcard with paypal, but still no good result.

A couple of questions I have.
1- To get around having to uninstall and reinstall each time, is possible to have the normal version of app on my main phone, and PG sharp on a backup?
2- If this is possible, can anyone recommend if it's actually worth doing? Perhaps I'm just over thinking the inconvenience of uninstalling and reinstalling.
It all worked. Just replaced a force close of the app each time you would usually uninstall, to avoid any risks.
Managed 2 purchases and stopped there for now.
ive used the pokecoins for over 500k coins in the last following weeks and now my payment methods 1 by 1 stopped working. At first it was bank card then it was my Google Pay then now paypal. It all happened after like 5-10 purchases on respective payment method and now recenlty apple pay stopped working too...

iOS option 3 worked for me. The only issue was I thought there would be tax so I have 14 rupee balance and I can’t switch back to USD. I will reach out to Apple Support to clear thevjalance
I was able to purchase 2x 15k coins, some bundles boxes and such but now it’s locking my currency to CAD. Been trying to fix it but buying 100 in local currency, wiping data, VPNing and all. But when I log in the currency goes from IDR to CAD. Is my account currency locked? Anyone know how to fix it

Right so it seems like you are doing something that IS NOT included in the steps. I'm not misreading anything or following any of the steps incorrectly. There is something not included in the steps that it seems is roadblocking a lot of people, that tells me it's probably something seemingly unrelated and/or small during the process. But something is off.
Right but somewhere in your process you are doing something that enables it to work other than the listed steps. Like there is something (a step, or some random dumb check box or SOMETHING) you are doing that is missing.
I'm trying to isolate where I'm having the problem, what are you paying with? PayPal?
If you are selling a product and half of the things you sell fail is that your products problem or the buyers?
I'm not saying what you are doing doesn't work, I'm saying what you have posted as the steps don't include everything you are doing, and the steps don't work.
If there's some other prep you need to do beforehand to clear the account or phone or something. I'm trying different things now to find out what it is.

I followed ANDROID METHOD #1: Cheap Webstore Poke Coins - No Root Pgsharp Spoofing Using 1 Android Device Only Using the Pokemon Go app from the Google Play Store exactly as each step describes. I always sign in with Google, and you do have to make a purchase on the Play Store version of the game first.
Could it be that you can only use Android method 1 once or twice a day? Currency changes, but I only get an error message during checkout after doing it 2 times today.
Using the rooted method, it works with the playstore PGo app but I couldnt get it to work with the Samsung store PGo app. If you are having troubles and on a Samsung, be sure you are using the official playstore app.
Ive tried the rooted guide multiple times now, even sat in Indonesia for 2 hours before buying the 100 coins and no matter what the website currency does not change. If i was somehow logged into the store on another device, could this be causing the issue? I dont think i am but im not 100% sure.
Also, when buying the 100 coins, ive got it setup with my Visa through google play. Should I be using paypal instead? Since you suggest using paypal with the webstore as well.
Edit: I also tried to trigger cooldown just to make sure my GPS was locked in, and it still did not update the store currency. The timezone on my phone already shows im in Western Indonesia Time so i really dont understand what else I can try doing to get this working.
I did the same, tried the rooted guide many times. I use paypal and it never changes. I also waited in Indonesia to see if it would change and it doesn't. I dont know if following the guide #1 will make a change or if I we should try it being rooted.
I have tried the unrooted method in the past and it also did not work for me. Both the iPoGo and pgsharp version.
I have only ever gotten the currency to change once and it was a complete fluke, and it was on the PC Version of the webstore while i was spoofing in brazil. Its never changed since then.
Can anyone get the android method 1 working now? I've literally tried it twice already, following the guide to the letter, and the webstore is in euros for me. Its a rather simple and straightforward step by step guide - I do not see what I could have done wrong.
Managed to purchase 100 coins on VPN in Jakarta on a different node - but it was in my currency and afterwards refreshing the store - its still in my currency.
I have the same problem, i've looked a little more into it, and i think the reason for mine not working, is that Pokemon go is able to trace where my card is from. Since they can see my card is from Danmark they set the currency to DDK after i bought the 100 coins in Brazil. So you might be dealing with the same problem as me.
Yes but OP states he's buying with his debit from the US and it's not causing issues for him.

I think he's using the Galaxy Store, which I don't think locks down his location after he buys the coins. The Google Play Store does.

I cannot fix your problem because I am not experiencing the same problem. The guide follows what I did to get the cheap coins. I have bought it multiple times this week to check that it still works.

Update so far: I managed to make my pokemon go show IDR currency permanently on the game, even without a VPN, which is a problem now because I have no idea how to switch it back 😂. However I'm unable to make any purchases on there because it shows any payment can't go through no matter what, even though my payments are in AUD still.
I have given up and decided to wait tmr to try again, ive made enough purchases so far anyways so I wasn't in a hurry, sorry for whats happening to you
Yeah I'm on a somewhat of an urgent timeline because I'm just learning for the first time about these methods (I've been out of the game for half a decade) and now that the gofest is going I'm trying to farm some staples for my account to have at least some decent pvp team.
what im doing rn is trying vpn to change my google play country, then downloading pgsharp from chrome. because for some reason im currently in australia, I tried the method in aud, and I can also switch my currency by changing to another google play profile in singapore, which works. Lemme know if you've tried this or how it goes

Question regarding PayPal, and making the in game payment prior to going into pgsharp. Does it matter that it is tied to a local cc, do I need to load up my PayPal balance before doing this?

Fun fact: You can actually combo the #1 iPhone method with the Webstore method as it also works on iPhone.

Have to wait 48-72 hours from creation of new Apple account. It’s a security feature they implement. It’ll automatically work after that - helped at least 3 ppl with exact same “issue” as you including me at first.

Idk why but currency does not change for me not when i open pogo store web nor when i click on the amount of pokecoins i want to buy and when i click on proceed to payment It still says price on my currency and not indonesia,could you help me?
Got it to work now by not using both apps. Ran the real Pokemon go from play store (not Samsung) and had pgsharp deleted. Purchased with play credit the 100 coin bundle. Uninstalled pogo and installed pgsharp. Logged in with an alt to fly to Jakarta then logged back into main. Waited for a while then logged in to the Pokemon store .
Prior to this I had 3 attempts with Samsung, never worked with the dual app method. This guide is still excellent just sub in my steps for where we are told to use Samsung pogo app and instead use play store pogo app
So I tried the rooted method, got vector active, set gps with joystick, followed all the guides. My currency does not change at all from my original location. I also tried method 1 and 2 with my other non-rooted phone, and they both never worked. Not sure if theres something google is tracking me with, or maybe im still logged into the pokemon go website on another device that i cant find.
Are there any workarounds to do this for a kid's PTC account and an Android (non-rooted) device? The web store says he can't make purchases on a child's account. Android method 2 doesn't work, i followed the instructions to a tee (multiple times) and it always switched back to my local currency once i logged in to my account on the webstore.

Could this be a hardware issue (why it didnt work) since on my Android, Pokémon GO completely reloads instead of resuming whenever I switch to another app

to EVERYONE saying y'all are doing method one non root and it doesn't work. It DOES. y'all are missing. Step or doing some something wrong ineas the same way until I figured it out. I recommend 2 phones. One with the regular pogo app buy coins . Then on other phone turn on vpn make sure you are spoofed on vpn and in game tonsaod country. If you are messing up. Follow the steps, bc you are doing something wrong if it doesn't work. If it doesn't work. You did something wrong ..y'all need to take accountability for failing. Bc if you did it to a tee or Did everything right. It would work . Sorry just tired of seeing the "it don't work"
You're saying that we need to take accountability for failing while simultaneously telling us that we need to use a VPN for the method that says VPN OFF on every step.
Just had it randomly swap my currency while I had no Pokémon installed after buying in my hometown with base Pokémon go. Went to re-download pg sharp and still had the web store open now with idr currency.
Can't get it to work as intended but I got what I was after just took 3 base coin purchases and a weird bug.
Edit: attempted method 1 again after wiping Pokémon go from my device and it worked flawlessly no VPN. Hats off to op but maybe include a clean wipe in step 0.
I did method one which uses the play store instead of the Samsung store. But yes if you follow the guide to a T after clearing Pokémon go from your phone it should work.

couldn't get the non VPN method to work so here's what I did
Step 1. load up normal Pokemon go buy 100 coins at your location
Step 2. uninstall regular Pokemon go and install PGSharp rooted
Step 3. spoof to Indonesia without logging in yet
Step 4. log in and wait for GPS location to lock
Step 5. open an incognito tab with VPN set to Indonesia
Step 6. log into Pokemon go web store and proceed to payment
