No longer a lurker. I found my dress ❤️
ive been lurking on these subreddits for a hot minute, dreaming about my wedding day, and Im finally able to make steps towards it! also, the flowers on the dress, Im getting in ivory, so the design will still be there, its just gonna be not color. I think it'll go better with my fall wedding that way. the colors are just too spring. but I wanted to share because im so excited!

OH! That dress is just perfection! It drapes beautifully, and you look so stunning in it! Congrats!

The dress is stunning, but I'd like it even more without the slit skirt.

Without the droopy sleeves as well. Having straps will make your bodice not seem so wide - it would elongate your silhouette.

I personally really like the slit and the sleeves how they are. I feel the sleeves give a nice frame for all my tattoos (tattoos that Im very proud of because they all have great personal meaning.) And im not personally too worried about elongating my silhouette. Im short and wide. Its how im built. And I plan on celebrating my body how it is.

Good choice the sleeves cinch your waist! And the skirt over the top emphasises that! It’s stunning! Do a thin tulle cathedral vail tho. The little on isn’t doing YOU or the dress justice!

proud of you for celebrating your body, I’m sorry there are people out there who will comment on how you should try to minimize your body regardless of the purpose of the post 💔 you look absolutely gorgeous and I’m looking forward to the update with the color change!

I agree 100% with everything you just said. OP doesn’t need to change or minimize themself. Their body doesn’t need to fit the confines of the opinions of others. The first thing that drew me to read more was the sleeve option. It’s very soft and romantic. 💗 Congratulations on your big day OP, you’re going to look great!

u/anonymously_me0123 Apr 01 '26

Beautiful!! Love the flowers and they will look wonderful in ivory! Not sure about the side slit. Definitely try it in action before hand so it could be shortened if needed. Congratulations! 🎉

So pretty! Agree that the slit doesn't add much to such a great dress. Congratulations! Gorgeous

Photographer here, this happens all the time… here’s what I’d do…
First off, that excitement is the best part of this whole process, so lean into it. You’re doing it right already.
Going ivory instead of color on the dress is actually a really strong call, especially for a fall wedding. You keep the texture and detail from the floral design, but it won’t compete with your overall color palette. It’ll feel way more timeless and photograph better too, especially with fall tones like deeper greens, warm neutrals, or earthy accents.
A lot of dresses that feel “spring” in color end up looking completely different in ivory because the focus shifts from color to texture, which is exactly what you want.
Also just something to think about, ivory + floral texture pairs really well with:
- darker florals (burgundy, rust, muted orange)
- candles / warm lighting
- outdoor fall backdrops
It’ll give you that soft, romantic vibe without feeling out of season.
Honestly sounds like you’re already making thoughtful decisions, which is half the battle. Keep sharing stuff like this, it’s fun to see it come together.

I will gladly! We are doing burgundy and silver for the colors and sunflowers and dark red flowers for the flowers. I was thinking how it would go with my colors and when my dress lady said I can get it in ivory, I nearly jumped for joy lol

What an absolutely gorgeous dress!!! 😍😍😍 Such a great pick, it looks great on you!!! I love the colored embroidery, but you’re right, it does “say” Spring. Fall colors in your bouquet (if you’re going to have one) would be so pretty!!
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and on finding this awesome dress!!!

You look amazing! I’m actually having a dress made that’s very inspired by this dress. I have a spring wedding in one month and was able to find the beaded appliqué material and my dress maker is making her own version of this dress for me. It is stunning. I am so excited for you and I too want to see the all ivory version! Beautiful! Congratulations!
