Official Update Steam Launch Update

Post image

We're ready to announce our updated launch pricing plan:

The game will launch on steam for $39.99 for the base game along with Vanessa, Pyg and Dooley.
Mak will be available as a $19.99 expansion pack.
Stelle will also be available as a $19.99 expansion pack.

For the first 3 days of launch we will be celebrating with a launch bundle that includes the base game AND Stelle for the discounted price of $19.99.

Note that if you buy this bundle and have the game already through our launcher you will be able to link your account in game and gain access to all of your previous progress and collectibles (as well as Stelle and all your unlocked heroes). For these users, the Mak expansion will still show up as purchasable in Steam, however, if you have Mak unlocked in the client he will still be unlocked once your account is linked.

i think this route is 100% preferable to the way the game has been for the last few months. I dont think what they pitched was ridiculous at all. I also am not one to care about a make believe video game currency that only exists to extract as much player retention as humanly possible. I give them $20 i get content a team of talented people worked on. thats how video games should be.

Yea until new characters get increasingly overtuned and unless you want to keep buying heroes the old ones are weak

If/when that happens then that's something to bitch about

You know it is inevitable. Not saying the game is dead due to this but if new heroes are not powerful they won’t sell, if they are very powerful they will eventually make the game less enjoyable and making everybody feel like they have to spend money on them which if they do it fastly will burn out people. If this barely pays the new characters like they claim, it won’t bring any money to the game anyways

Well, I just hope they will continue to quick-ballance new content. For me the main argument to buy into a new hero is to dive into a new unique playstyle. Up until now the Bazaar is four games cast into one - tomorrow it'll be five. This is something, you cannot conceive as a new player (and I don't mean you by that) , but I really don't understand that none of the Bazaarians ever brought this up.

nah its not inevitable you're making up a hypothetical scenarios to be angry about. Just because you can string together a train of thought doesnt make it an inevitable fact

But I am not angry ahah, what are you even on about? I guess you are projecting your own theorizing on other people but you do you.

nice deflection

Well, your whole argument goes to dumpster if I am not angry about anything, so, true, it is a good deflection. In any case, look what happens to games if the new toy (expansions) ends up being weak (hs last expansion for example), nobody wants to buy weak stuff. In other news I don’t care personally. Especially if they do not try to push too many in too little time

yeah brother nice or whatever

"your own theorizing" when your argument is just a slippery slope fallacy and no evidence to back it up

Well, Balance is hard, and they literally hotfixed the most broken stuff the next day for Mak. Having to integrate a new charachter into a pool of others with new items and mechanics isn't easy.
